Exactly. I looked into this a while ago. Everyone points to the 22k bucket cost but the irony is that the std seats cost about the same. Parts counter prices are always ridiculous.

Buckets are cool but plenty of swaps have occurred on FB for 1.5k-3k plus std seats. No one is paying 10k for them. At that point just buy another car.

So Is having a regular sport seats that has a “ Jahre” emblems that important to you ? Why not go with the non jahre sport seats and get comfortable and enjoy ur car. Its much cheaper and saves u a lot of money and time looking for a new allocation. U dont have to swap it with someone, just use that and sell ur buckets for a profit. Its a win win

The main problem (I think) is that the 50 Jahre edition has special seats (headrest and stitching) that are different from the sport seats in any regular M3.
Is it possible to order them directly from BMW? I would think that they would be able to replace 50 Jahre seats if they had a defect, so it means that it's possible?
If not, I don't think it would be easy to find another 50 Jahre in Montreal, Canada with seats in perfect / great condition with an owner who wants to swap.
