I'll be investigating if it will work to mount a motorized retractable license plate holder up front, one of the requirements will be having a 12V source to connect to under the hood - can be a constant 12V + source, or one that only would have power when the car is running. I guess either option is fine.

Any thoughts where to tap into for a + source? The ground is easy as that can just be some chassis point.
