Capristo Exhaust

I’m on the hunt for an exhaust set up… having a hard time picking one partially due to the fact that many systems do not offer a full midpipe. Are any members running a Capristo Exhaust and if so what are your thoughts on fit, finish and sound comparative to its $.

Having the capristo on my huracan I can say the fit and build quality is on par with eisenmann products.

The sound is unmatched. I've been eying the G8x version for a while now.

If its in your budget you will not regret it.

Hi Mike, super fresh into the BMW life and also mods in general. I know sound is subjective, but what made you prefer the AA exhaust system over the Remus? (Remus seemed to be super popular)

Sounds great! The car actually sounds free and not overly restrained.

Yours sounds great too, the catback exhaust system is the one that retains the secondary cats right? I think overall it sounds plenty loud and clear for daily use. Beautiful Purple by the way!

Additionally, does anyone know if these exhaust systems will pass emissions? That's the only thing I'm aware I need for GA inspections.

You should be fine with emissions as long as you don't touch your downpipes. If you do replace your downpipes it should be catted.

I havent heard the sound yet on the G8X (but do you have clips?). I had a Capristo full setup on my Ferrari 458 and the sound was heavenly. But thats so much about the V8 too. I can only imagine that they would do their best with the inline 6 but they just dont have the same dynamics working vs a V8, 10, or 12.

I did this full exhaust via TFL Italy. TFL is the spinoff from Tubi and the owner Fausto sold his shares. Tubi remains both OEM and aftermarket while TFL is purely aftermarket.

I love my exhaust, the sound under load is great with proper LeMans screams and strong low end rumble.

In my opinion Active Autowerke, REMUS and Akrapovic are the best sounding systems.

Active is the only one out of these three to offer a full catback system that does not require cutting the stock exhaust.

It was an easy choice, to be honest and I do not regret it

That is extremely compelling. Not cutting is a huge plus. What's the tonal differences if any from the xpipe vs the single midpipe?

deeper sound in the mid-range with the single midpipe

X-pipe has a louder sound on high RPM

I’ve watched your videos like 50 times
TFL is on the top of my list too.

I really like the idea of Capristo but don’t know if I want to spend that for a non titanium exhaust when you can get something like TFL/ Remus/ Active for almost half the price.

I am all over the damn place lol
Im pointing my-self to either TFL or Remus rear with active auto x-pipe.
I am also considering MPE with active auto single or x-pipe.

Let’s see what AWE brings…..
