Can't believe that people are asking for more photos when GIYF. I'm interested in:
1) How are the upshifts at WoT at (or near) redline? Any delays in pressing the paddle and engaging the gear? Are shifts smooth or rough? 2) Any understeer during fast cornering? 3) Is the car stable under hard braking from high speeds?

Like they said on TG, give the styling to the italians and leave the engineering to the germans. Not sure how those reviewers come to that conclusion but I've driven the Giulia extensively, it's a good handling car but definitely doesn't feel like a 2800lbs car in the canyons. Once you swap back to a lighter car you can immediately tell the difference was very noticeable. |

Never driven a car where the extra power was able to cancel the weight. You will always feel the weight once you take a curve. If it's a freeway cruiser only then I guess it's irrelevant. |

Of course it's not like a real 2800lbs car, that's obvious. |

Also, can't believe people are ranting against OP, just bonkers and audacious. Furthermore, most calling out OP have zero interest in the car base on their own declarations. Yet they're here proclaiming unsubstantiated attributes of the car as well as OP's credibility lol.

Don't forget Sport auto ZF8 is an extra option on m240i, if it is not ticked as an option, the gear would be sluggish. My m240i ZF8 is as good as DCT in auto and more pops and bangs (MPE) on downshifting automatically than the sport exhaust in M6Comps but slightly less crispier than the DCT in M6Comp when driving manually. In ZF8 sustained pulling on the left lever would take you to the lowest gear for the speed, if you want to redline, something not available with DCT

"not able to hit some turns"? The first curve you encounter, you give it some and you'll feel the balance immediately, and the weight and the eagerness to pull into the curve. You play a bit with the accelerator and you'll immediately feel the reaction on mass transfer. When you come to an open space you steer in and you keep reducing the turning radius until it understeers... do you feel this in the steering wheel? Do you really need to provoke this behaviour? Do a fast left-right, did it feel heavy or nimble? etc.... after 15mins you already have a good idea of the behaviour of the car. "I didn't plan a long trip?"... What!!? the first day I would have driven several hours, probably at night. I can come up with +100 excuses to tell my wife I have to leave for a couple of hours. Turbo lag: what about the more important turbo threshold underneath 2700rpm? In combo with the ZF8 and in driving in mode, you will probably drive rather always in this "no torque" zone: how frustrating is this? |
