what wheels would you choose?

Thinking of changing my oem 826m staggered set on my g80 xdrive to:

1. 826m 20x10.5 squared 285/30 with 12mm spacers

Or

2. Hre ff28 20x10 et 10 285/30 squared no spacers

Or

3. Variant radon or maxim 20x10 et 8 285/30 squared

Make it simpler for everyone and add picture on any of the g80 car. I did and looked over them but you are not making this easy to give you feedback.

From my side all are very similar like, except maybe HRE which is respected brand and probably would lean towards it.

But when it comes to decision I would consider weight of the wheels because OEM one are not so heavy and Im not sure is it good to go towards heavier but better looking wheels… I would not.

Agreed on the weight perspective. Unfortunately its difficult to pinpoint the weight discrepancy between the aftermarkets (variant and hre vs oem).

Attached are pictures of the hre ff28 (Black g80), variant maxim (dravit g80 bronze color), and another one I’m considering the 827m (dravit g80 gold color also labeled 827m), which come on the M3CS. Everyone should know what the 826m oem g80 wheels look like. The benefit of the hre and variant are the offsets eliminating the need for spacers but they may be heavier?

I have also dravit gray and can say we have similar taste. From above to what I was able to learn and verify OEM are having lower weight and need to say looks great!
HRE simpler design castflow were just under 25lbs and distributor was not able to propose anything more light in size of 20” in a range of $3000-$4000

The only other one model I think is worth to consider is Edelweiss LT3 because of weight 19.9lbs for 20”. But did not verify the need to add spacers ect. They have many other colors also. Im picky about my car performance so I ratherr spend more $$$ and go OEM 827 or Lt3 I think… Still thinking.

20x 10 ET 10 in the rear will look sunk in.
Many run 20x11 ET 14 / 20x10.5 ET 8. (like adding a 12 mm spacer to the stock setup).
I just ordered BC Forged Wheels - where you can select your offset. I went with a conservative 20x10.5 ET 10 for the rear (with 295 tyre). 20x10 ET 12 in the front with 285.
For a square setup, you can run 20x10.5 all around ET 12. (may have light adjustment of the front fender - depending on the tyre brand choice) 285 all around of course.

Edelweiss look nice and with those (wider) tires should pretty much eliminate the need for spacers. Although a 295/285 split is over xdrive diameter tolerance.

Yeah I’m pretty sure I want to run 285 square and I do not like the stretched look, so 10.5 wide is max. The hre are 10.5 et10 which should work but it’s a flow formed wheel. The variants are fully forged. I’ll check out bc forged too thx.🙏

Gottcha. 285 on a 10.5 depending on brand of tyre is stretched yes. Your original post is about as good as your going to get. 20x10 ET 10 to Et 8 all around.

Cool thx. I might just do the 827m’s at 20x10.5 et20 with 285’s on all 4 and swap my 15mm spacers for 12’s up front. I just prefer the oem “plus” look.

I vote for BC Forged wheels and love my setup. I have RWD and went with a aggressive offset of +11 for front and +12 for rear with 285/295 20 inch and 20×10 and 20×11 rim. My car is Dravit and I did brushed black wheels. It took me forever to figure out what wheel I wanted so good luck and I don't envy you right now...lol

Thank you so much. I actually sent them an email earlier today to inquire about options.
