It was lapstrackdays, and I ran in the novice group, it was my first time in Road America in 10 yrs. I didn't think I was going to be pushing as much as I was.

I can't believe how good of a chassis this generation M3 has. I can't wait for the better tires.
How do you find the P-Zeros versus PS4S? Great driving!

That’s good to know, I’m from Chicago and for some reason every time I go up north I always seem to find 91 only
Awesome!

I'm in Chicago as well. Would love to get more details on these tracks days, if you don't mind PMing me.

Six minutes away was 93 octane at the BP. I was parked three spots away from you

Some people there, had no idea what they were doing or that mirrors ever existed.

Seems very strange to me that they would allow to pass on the right specially on a novice group

Were those the stock PS4s tires ? How did they end up? Did the shoulders get killed?

Nice run
The rule there, and most I've run with is you pass off line. Whether that is the right or the left. Safer than having people crossing the racing line.

Oh man, oh well to be honest I don’t think the 93 would have done anything else, I was limited by the tire and towards the end tire temps

Also I was running 32 psi for the people asking, the pressures never crept above 43psi even at the highest temp I saw which was 190 degrees.

Maybe the old pirellis were not as good tires as the michelins but these new generation ones did not make any mistake never once did I wish I was on the michelins.

Thank you for sharing. Are you using stock brake pads and stock brake fluid?

Did you bug out early? Or just move locations. Don't think I saw the car after the lunch session. I was the red E36. Would have said hi but was chasing down M2 owners most of the day so I can prep my CS for a future event.

Glad you had a good time and the tires were happy for you. I'll be running Supercar 3s as my track set on the M2 since the RE71Rs are dead.

Nice driving overall BTW. Strong lines in general. Great job with the carousel and kink and through setting up Canada corner in thunder alley. Kohler can go a bit wider but you were fine. Only thing I saw was a hair early on five and six. I'm inconsistent as hell personally, so you may be hitting those too and just not on the laps I watched!

I moved later on, my brother was working with a race team testing the KTM’s out there so I got some shade in the garages.

I’m gonna run falkens RT660’s I used them before and I like them a lot, problem is BMW hasn’t shipped my wheels that I ordered a month ago.

Also for the guys asking I ran the stock pads and I swapped brake fluid to Castrol

Great driving OP! Looks like such a fun track.

I am impressed by the level of overall grip you seem to have with DSC Off.

Also impressed by the brakes!!! Are you on steels?

I blew Canada corner in the last session because the tires were over temp and didn't bite when I tried to push it with traffic behind me. So even RE71Rs were going off on temp with the surface. Every tire is different but I was starting cold around 28 psi with my little 17" rims and targeting hot pressures around 36. No idea what's ideal for your setup but above 40 would seem high for most any tire setup, but I'm really guessing on your situation.

I'm waiting on wheels as well, that's why I had the E36 and not the CS. Would love to run the Falkens, have heard great things but no sizes for me unfortunately.

Very cool on the garage spot and the KTMs. Love those things!

Nice laps! I got nervous every time you were coming into Canada corner but your set up was always good each lap! It looks like you were running with some of my co-workers. The black GT-R on air ride, white R8 V10 and a LBB M2 comp.

You guys had perfect weather for this time of year!

Yea the weather was great, and trust me I was having a mental conversation each and every time I was approaching Canada corner I mean you are asking a lot of your brakes and towards the end with the tires getting hotter the conversation became more and more serious lol

You guys were shooting for fitment industries correct? They were nice cars

Yup! That was our CMO in the R8, our Director of Marketing - Car Divisions in the GT-R and our Director of Technology in the M2. Our Marketing Manager for Custom Offsets was there along with a couple others from our Custom Offsets and Fitment Industries divisions to get footage. The guy in the GT-R oversees Fitment Industries and it was his first track day.

That's impressive. RA is a brutal track on brakes considering you can get up to 150+ in a few spots.

Agreed!

You mentioned KTM. Does your bro race bikes? I'm a big track junkie when it comes to bikes, but I'm a Duc guy.
