Will add some very soon. I added those ones on Friday then it started to rain here. Will clean her tomorrow and shoot some in the sunlight.

I can report that I am in love with the quality and color of the film. It's very impressive that this is a film, kudos to xpel.

I agree the oem frozen looks better, in the showroom. The issue is that where I live I have yet to see a frozen black car (benz included) that looks mint. I always can see several areas of concern which makes the color look "inconsistent" (all I meant). For sure this likely rests on the owner's ability and knowledge on car care but it in their defense when you have roads that are sand blasted, graveled and salted then add snow to the mix a frozen paint is up against it.
If I lived in Texas I likely wouldn't think twice about getting oem frozen but here in Canada I wasn't going to get an oem frozen to wrap it with xpel (required) just so I knew it was real.
I am looking forward to comparing the two in person, hopefully I can find one nearby and we can do an actual side by side comparison.
Man that stealth PPF job turned out real nice. If you want a matte paint job, stealth PPF is definitely the way to go. Putting stealth PPF over frozen paint will just screw with the depth and sheen of the beautiful paint job, so you might as well save money and PPF a glossy paint. Rock chips alone, you can't even polish matte paint so there's no way I can feel at ease driving around in bare matte paint.

How much did this job cost you in CAD?

Would love to see some outside daytime versus nighttime pics of this.

Your car looks amazing. Totally makes sense go to a metallic paint and stealth xpel in Calgary. Are you planning to clear xpel the CF roof? I get anxious thinking about your hail storms, I’d probably wrap the whole thing (CF inclusive) if I still lived there… not that it’d help much for the really intense hail.

Is the front bumper a single piece of xpel? Any gaps or seams?

You can see PPF being applied on Shmee150's M3 here (front bumper) at 13:50:

His was using a pre-templated cutout though

Not that can be seen. Only on the lower part if you look really hard but not on the main bumper. It is a pre-cut from Xpel

Pretty much all XPEL installers use the same templated cutouts. It’s the exact same one that consumers have access to. It will save you $$$$$$ if you have the balls to do it yourself.

I actually agree with the OP on the factory frozen. The problem is, if you're ready to maintain the true frozen paint, you will have to xpel stealth wrap it anyway.

Hi
Great looking wrap.. I have a frozen dark grey here in Canada also. I used the 3m matte wrap on any exposed areas ie. Hood front bumper mirrors etc.
I have to say I couldn't tell the difference between where it was wrapped and one of the same painted cars with no wrap. It's amazing stuff. I also did ceramic. Makes it so easy to keep clean. I love the Frozen black and that with the Kalami interior is next on my list. One thing of note a lot of people think that frozen paint is a flat finish which would be extremely hard to keep but the Frozen does have a satin shine to it.
Enjoy your new car.

Awesome job BTW!
You can make any paint "frozen" with the Xpel Stealth. Pretty cool, huh?

From what I've heard, the cost of the Stealth is about $5K-$6K (USD), which is about the same cost as getting the actual frozen paint but without the maintenance headaches.
Ppf needs to take care too. Once ruined, $ are gone.

I was at the dealer yesterday for service and they had a new m4 in the showroom…pictures don't do this vehicle justice. Especially the wheels. They look sooo good in person.

This looks great!

Does anyone know how a carbon black would look like with Xpel Stealth? Will it still retain blue hue?
