No is definitely doesn't vibrate. It's well built and screwed down tight. It's not harsh, just very firm. I think it's the nature of front engine vs rear or mid engine vehicles nowadays. They have to make front engine cars' suspension stiff to compete with the natural balance of its rear/mid engine competitors, i.e. cayman/911/c8 vette. You'll hear repeatedly from experts that C8 vettes are almost rolls Royce smooth in comfort setting with magneride shocks. It's tough to do have world-beating handling AND a plush ride with front engine architecture. I haven't driven the new vette yet, so can't comment, just know that my base 911 with standard suspension was probably as comfortable as a GTI for reference.
Ironically I actually find my M3 feels smoother over the road than the GTI I had a few years back. The GTI was super fun, small, and light, but didn't feel particularly planted as a result (FWD didn't help)

The thing with the front is that all the pictures of it are taken basically with someone lying on the ground. Yeah it looks odd from that perspective, but walking up to it it looks way more muted, you really need to crouch down to get that same perspective. I think that's partly why people say it looks better in person

This is the photos and video section, kinda seems like a general discussion.

But what do I know

I agree - the car does seem to look great in white.
Funny, I was about to say the opposite. And I'm a white car guy. Go figure :

Pretty weird to compare a 4-year old base 991.2 against a brand new M4... 🤷

Not weird at all. I'd venture to guess there are plenty of new/potential G8X owners that are cross shopping with this generation of 911, given the prices are about identical with the inflated used car market.

There's quite a bit of cross over between BMW M and Porsche owners. Many have owned both, with some "graduating" to Porsche ownership after many years of M experience, or vice versa Porsche owners going to M for the added functionality/practicality they bring.

Fairly common theme in this community.

How do you like the red calipers in person? I ordered them on mine. They seem to be a really bright red. Do they seem like the stand out to much or that its a nice color pop?

It's just the right amount of color, IMO. I wouldn't have done anything different. It actually brings out the shape of the black wheels that would otherwise wash out a bit at a casual glance. The AW, black trim, carbon roof and red calipers all are very harmonious.

Doesn't make it right or a realistic comparison

Care to comment on how that's the case? Even professional auto journalists compare the models. What would be your preferred comparison?

Comparably equipped 911s's are roughly 2x the cost of a G80.

I can compare a civic to a Ferrari, doesn't make it useful or valid.

Also the proper comparison would be to a Panamera anyway because it has a useable backseat, like the G80.

Hmm that is very true. There are many differences, including price. I think my point was more based on perspective than real comparison. Also, I highly favored the M4 in many regards. Not exactly apples to apples, but both important amongst the enthusiast crowd.
