The results from doing that are why I'm probably either going Santorini or similar if it is a MY22 standard colour. I've seen photos of Santorini that look like Voodoo, and visa versa. The previous point of screen colour calibration also applies.

Regardless, I think any of them will look awesome in person. I'm happy with my current Estoril, and wouldn't block a purchase if I was "forced" into Portimao. Fun to theorize until the MY22 options are available.

Any evidence that santorini will be a standard color for MY22? Tbh, I'd be pretty tilted if they made it standard after I paid for individual.

I don’t blame you. I would be too.

I’m speculating based on the press kit for the MY22 G80/82 xDrive announcement. The G82 is in what I understand to be Santorini. The PR lists choices for MY21.

Wow....just wow. Certainly looks like Santorini and I doubt they would have a non-BMW color like Voodoo as standard. I'm looking into changing my request now; this is ridiculous.

Yea, same here to a degree. Santorini is close enough to the Enzian that I paid $4500 for that I'd have got for it. Although I guess the price of the Xdrive offsets the individual paint. And, I suppose it's part of the price of being first. Perhaps by the LCI there will be better color choices. I have those pics set as my backgrounds as via computer screen they look just like the color I ordered.

I would highly doubt that Santorini would all of the sudden be made a standard color that is available. Likely will remain as an individual option. BMW has been using individual colors to market their cars a lot lately so I wouldn't take this as a hint towards anything.

This is what my rep (who I trust) has told me as well. Guess we'll see when the order guide for MY22 comes out. It would certainly be odd and a huge slap in the face to make santorini/enzian a standard color after one year. So I'm inclined to believe that they are just promoting individual color options.

Agreed, that's what I expect while hoping that whatever that colour is will be standard.

That said, making ///M logo colours standard colours for the 50th anniversary is something anyone worth their salary in marketing should consider. Even as an upgraded paint, versus roll-the-dice Individual. I'll pay Frozen prices for that uni paint. I don't care. Just let me order it without the uncertainty, dammit.

It's possible that it gets offered on an anniversary model but those models come at a premium anyways so the cost of the individual color is pretty much already built in. I still wouldn't consider it being a standard color at that point.

They did something similar to send off the F82
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a28900804/2020-bmw-m4-m-heritage-special-edition-photos-info/

Definitely a cool idea that they could employ again for the 50th.

Thanks!

Fjord blue/black interior, ventilated seats rather than the carbon buckets.

I'm anxious about build dates, but my dealership order coordinator isn't. I think my profession makes me hyper-sensitive to risk.

When do you expect delivery? I was seriously considering voodoo at one point in time. I have these in my phone from when I was scoping out blues in the Visualiser.

I'm in status 102 no build date yet. I was week 27 but was told that will change. I'm fine waiting as long as I get what I want.

We should make a master forum post for any of us who have individual colors to chime in. Curious how many of us there are.

I have made a new post in this forum area as the "Roll call for individual color orders"

This, bmw has made individual colors a key component of the M3/M4 marketing and features individual colors constantly on their social channels.

We can probably get a better idea of what colors might be available in a future special edition by keeping track of what individual requests color requests are consistently denied
