UK m3cutters forum talk is xDrive orders will be available to place on May 5th. I have no idea if that is true but I like it.

Post Share your AWD M3/M4 order plans

Yesterday wife and I saw a Dravit X7 clean and in the sun. I've been poking her with different photos of colors for a few months now and she plays my game well. She hates portimao blue and most blues for that matter, isn't really into IOMG or Brooklyn grey, but likes grays and blacks.

She said "is that the dark gray?" Me: "sure is." Her: "Yeah that one. You can get that gray." :

So now I get to choose interior color to spice up the somewhat dull but beautiful Dravit. I'm also now heavily leaning M4 with mandatory lowering springs. My build price is getting insane so I have to decide on buckets vs standard seats. The other options are not negotiable. I guess I have to decide M3 vs M4 and the buckets or not.

Since we're sitting on our thumbs waiting for order guide and '22 allocations, here is my near final build.

M4 xDrive
Dravit
826M bicolor
Kyalami buckets, full leather
Carbon interior and exterior packs
Park assist
Exec pack
Red calipers
Shadow headlights
$97,845

Solid build. Only thing I'd change is to go with the M3 instead of the M4 but that is personal preference as to how each looks.

Nice, this combo is on my top 3 list... need to decide when the time comes... only thing I am debating with this exact combo is the caliper color with the KO interior... my thought on it:
Black just boring and no pop blend into the wheels but it does not clash and fit right into the color scheme
Red may clash with the KO but I think it looks best with DG (even though the gold cb would be the best fit but $8k )
Blue since Red may clash, mind as well go all the way and it matches the blue laser headlights

Why did you chose Red?

Agreed; lost of cars with KO interior seem to have red calipers, but to me, they clash.

Is there anything you didn't add? Could be the most optioned M3 on the forum (and possibly anywhere lol).

Very nice I might add!

Your prices seem off for the M performance CF accessories. Where are you getting those prices from?

Black calipers not popping is exactly why I'm picking black with black wheels. That wee rear caliper needs to be hidden!

Waiting to place this order, #2 on the list once allocations come in:

M3 xDrive
San Marino Blue
826m Bi-Color Wheels
Silverstone Interior (Extended)
Carbon Buckets
Carbon Trim
Park Assist
Exec Pack
Shadow Headlights
Black Calipers (or blue? still undecided...)

I'm not getting the exterior carbon pack as I think it's a complete rip off. I plan on going the aftermarket route for those types of things.

Come on BMW, let us order!!

That's almost exactly the spec I am considering (but with 825m wheels and minus carbon buckets). Day to day I go back and forth on whether to get IOMG or Individual SMB.

For a close approximation here's Marina Bay Blue vs. IOMG:

you can certainly put down a deposit with a general idea of what the options will look like and an agreed % of MSRP but ultimately until the dealer is given an allocation by BMWNA for one of the US market production slots your order is not official

IOMG is great, loved it in person... but I want this car to be a little more special, SMB is one of my fav colors from BMW and I think it will suit this car really nicely.

These were the estimates the dealer gave me, based off the current M5 parts. Once the order actually opens up should get official pricing, and see if they can do it from the factory vs dealer installed.

Seems odd for them to be guesstimating when some of the prices are listed directly on the BMW USA site. For instance the CF air breathers are $564, the side skirts are $1080 per side, etc.

To lock a spot on your dealers list...

Depending on where you are that could be long.... I am in the Boston area and chatted with my dealer about awd back in October and they told me already had interest and a list for awd which would have (guesstimate) dropped me in a dec delivery slot (not even counting the fact they didn't want to deal) so I altered my plan

Dunno, currently just going off what the dealer tells me. Could very well be those are the prices without install or shipping. I work at a dealership myself, and thats how our accessories are as well. Pricing is also different on factory installed vs dealer installed. We will see, I am not too worried about it.
