Supposedly it was going to be available sometime in March but I wonder if it will just be a 2022 color at this point. And yes, it's supposed to be a standard $550 option.

If this is what skyscraper gray looks like then maybe the pictures of skyscraper grey that i posted previously from Mobile.de are right after all. At the time of my posting i mentioned that i thought that the vendor had put the color mistakenly but maybe it was skyscraper after all.

It also shows a M3 in Oxide Grey, but the M4 is supposed to be Brands Hatch Grey.
Unfortunately somehow the color levels in this video seem to be tuned way down, so that i am not sure how realistic the colors look in the video. Anyway here it is :

The M3 is surely Oxide and the M4 Brooklyn. Weird desaturation on that vid.

No the M4 should be Brands Hatch Grey. At least that is what the BMW salesman says (in German) in the video.
I assume he will not make a mistake about the color.

Yes he does indeed say that at 0:45.
But at 0:30 he says 'die wunderbar neue Farbe Brands Hatch Grey' about the color of the M4.....
So that is why i am assuming that the M4 is indeed Brands Hatch Grey...

I do think that you and also Scorpion in the other answer are likely right about the colors.

But it really becomes confusing when BMW sales representatives point to completely other colors as Skyscraper Grey and Brands Hatch Grey.
Normally i would tend to believe the professionals but i actually think that a lot of people in this forum will actually know more about these cars and colors then the people who have to sell it......

true didn't hear that.

Well he gets it wrong, he says the beautiful new colour brands hatch grey.
brands hatch is not new, I think he just got it wrong as its a gray starting with B and he wanted to say Brooklyn Grey.
Because the M4 is clearly Brooklyn Grey.

Definitely want the G80 in a dark grey so my current favorite is Dravit but dislike the gold flake so thinking of going with an individual color. I like the graphite from the X3M, anyone have experience with this color or recommend another dark grey individual color?

Sophisto Grey (Dark Graphite) is what I have on X3M and it is one of my favorite colors I've ever owned. It's very dark but still clearly a gray and has a nice sparkle to it. I'm not sure it's worth doing expensive individual paint as it's a very widely used color on multiple models but it is quite nice.

For individual colors Lava or Gunmetal II grey are probably closest.

Yes it sounds like individual color is $4500-5000.

I was leaning towards Brooklyn grey, but after seeing Dravit in person and in the sun i was hooked. lol. The metallic flake in the sun is amazing. I have a Dravit G80 on order.

Got the chance to see one today and it was sitting next to an Audi RS6 nardo grey. The Brooklyn grey looked way more lighter than the Audi. The carbon fiber trims pop out beautifully.

Like many of you here, I very curious to see what Skyscraper grey will look like. After looking at the swatch, as well as paint samples from touch up paint I found a few things.

Using Brooklyn as a baseline, Skyscraper is slightly warmer (more of a neutral grey). It has brighter highlights, and much deeper shadowing. This will translate to contrast, bringing out the body lines of the G80 more.
