I personally like the stock wheels and lowered cars are just not good for every day use IMO in guess I'm getting old but I hate going sideways over bumps

11" at the rear should be too much to keep the oem 285/30 size

I have 285's on a 10.5 inch wide wheel and that has completely normal sidewall profile. 11's wouldn't be a problem as it would just have a slightly stretched sidewall like 275's on a 10.5 wide wheel (another common combo).
