If I look on page #15 of this brochure:

https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/at...2&d=1616987674

I see there are two categories of special-order color:

1) Paintwork exchange within the BMW offer, which I assume means any current-production color from any German plant. This has a cost of 1998 EUR, or about $2400 USD

2) BMW Individual Manufaktur Paintwork "Special paintworks" which I take to mean any color from the Individual Visualizer. This has a cost of 3445 EUR, or about $4150 USD.

Obviously I recognize the North American prices may be different, but I'm simply pointing out that there are two pricing structures in place.

I'm hoping that Donington is available in the first category, since it's in use in Dingolfing, and maybe won't carry the $4500-5500 premium that more 'exotic' colors do.

If that's true I would definitely spec it for ~$2400.

Can we get verification of this availability of colors at “exchange” pricing in the US market? This could be a revelation for my obsession with choosing the right color.

I really love this color.
I'm pretty sure that's just an overly exposed Dravit. Looks great though.

I really love this color.
The stance on this car is on point.

Does not look gold enough to be Dravit. Skyscraper has blue undertones and Dravit gold from what I have seen. After seeing Dravit in person it was a no go for me. Looks way to bronze for my taste.

From the skyscraper thread... now these are some great pics and from what we can see with Tartufo in shadows, looks like a really great combo!

Skyscraper grey may be a worthy substitute to Donington.

If you are like me and blind ordered your Brooklyn grey, I promise these two videos will reveal what your eyes will see once delivered. It’s darker then what many vids and photos show. It’s a bluish grey and lighter than nardo grey, but still dark and no where near white or silver like some vids show. Yes it may change depending on lighting conditions but as a 4 day owner of this car the videos are excellent in depicting the true shade. It’s a fabulous color. The first video is the better depiction in my opinion.

Donington Grey

Following up on the Donington Grey discussion, my sales advisor confirmed it would cost $4500 to order it.

As much as I like it, there are enough other standard options that are similar (oxide, skycraper) that I'm not sure it's worth that much for a slightly different shade of grey.

Thanks. Yeah $4500 makes that a no for me too. For that money I'd be going some shade of individual blue but standard color choices are already quite good. I mean we have 4 greys to choose from. 4!

Skyscraper is already on the 2-Series Gran Coupe and BMW has confirmed it will also be released on the 1-Series, X2, and X3.
