Let's all admit it...the g8x doesn't sound good

I'd love the mpe but the bumper mod looks ridiculous, any chance it'll come in the standard setup?

The G80 has an inline 6 sound that we can appreciate and does not have the same lawnmower tone. For reference I've owned 4 F80's including a CS with different exhaust set ups and they don't sound as smooth.

G80 sounds good in the cabin but I think it's a lot of active sound. Would love to know that the sound I hear in the cabin is coming from the tailpipes.

Code it out. BimmerCode G20. I'm coding mine out after break in service. I know I don't have to wait, but I'm kind of hoping the G8x gets its own support on the app soon

im not sure they will make a standard MPE exhaust for them. The G80 sounds much better than the F80 out of the box. Looks like in pictures BMW routed the exhaust to have a equal length from the factory. The F80 sounded great when a equal length mid pipe was added to the car.

I haven't done it yet, but people on here have done it. There is an active sound design section, so it should be easy.

What else can you do with bimmercode? I've never used it before

is it possible to make the light on the chairs glow whenever it is dark out? instead of only when the door is open? (would this have any potential negative impact on the cars battery or lifespan of the lights)

You can do a hell of a lot with BimmerCode. It's worth the money for sure. Go to their website and search for your chassis (g20 or g22 right now until g80 and g82 get native support) and see the options available

You can download the Bimmercode app from the app store for free and run it in demo mode - in demo mode you can see all the coding options that are available to you right there on the phone without plugging it into the car. But you will not be able to actually code the car until you buy the app - it's a nice way to get familiar with the app prior to actually coding the car
