Tanzanite Blue G80 M3 Build
The depth of Tanzanite Blue!
Now I am pretty boring... When spec'ing my cars I have always gone for grey or hunted for black, failed then gone grey When I saw this come in I was really impressed by the depth of the colour. Under show room lights you really get to see how much BMW have worked on the colour as well as when things darken up a bit the colour stealths out. Stance is always a top priority so 12mm & 15mm spacers had to go on as well as some AST Lowering springs Finished with some carbon, the contrast between the gloss black and blue really is something special! Any other Tanzanite Blue builds out there? Let's get them all together! |

Looks fabulous! So stealthy, composed, and classy all at once in Tanz. Thanks for posting some pics too *under cloudy skies*! Most images in the official G8x Tanz thread (which I'm sure you've come across) are taken under blazing blue skies. Of course, it looks great in the direct sun (and in sunset light) but it also has a different, more broody character in overcast conditions.
I finally placed my G80 order last month, spec'ing TB again (I currently have it on my M340i). I was having regrets, thinking I should have gone something jazzier light San Marino. But grey sky pics of TB like this actually reassured me: San Marino becomes rather two-dimensionally purple in anything other than bright sunlight, whereas TB shifts is aura constantly--and as your images show, it really flatters the contours of the accents on the bonnet, the side vents, and the flared arches.

I'm also a UK owner and we've hardly had any sunny days since it arrived in early Jan but it still looks great even on overcast and rainy days Also, even though it's a dark paint, it doesn't show up the dirt quite as much as my previous Sapphire Black F82 Comp, which always looked filthy within 2 days of cleaning it! |
