Who knows…

I know many years ago when I was shopping for the new model ZX10R they hit the dealers in Florida before they were up in Connecticut.

I just hope the dude is legit. Already agreed no mark up.

Thanks again…

I'll report back as soon as I hear from them
I spoke to several MidWest dealers this month and no one even considered the option of trading allocations for a M. I have been in touch with a couple of them for a while and they want to get me an allocation.

Hope you are able to secure yours soon.

Yea! I'll be surprised if fort washington gets any allocations. I am not sure that they are a very high volume M dealer. After calling almost every dealer in the tri-state area, it seems the closer you get to NYC the more allocations the dealers get. But with those allocations come a premium :/

Geez…

So some of the dealers have received new allocations; no M3's.

I found another dealer with current open allocations for 2 M4 you can still build and 2 convertibles.

They are both marked up $5,000

Since I'm disgusted I won't promote their location or business.

What a piece of sh. I. T.

Guy said they mark up all new M's by $5,000

I think your right, they got a bunch of other stuff, and no M's allocation this month. They still sound confident they will be getting some soon, but then again its their job to be confident

If you saw their invoice price and knew what they are making off every car , you'd think differently.

I know I would be charging minimum 20k with barely any allocations.

///M are their bread and butter.

If they sold 1 M3 every month at MSRP without incentives which no dealer gets anymore , they are making pennies.
Why should dealers flip these rare cars to us for a bag of chips & soda ?

Volume is no longer the name of the game , and it's time people finally accepted this reality which won't change anytime soon.

Your car is worth more off the lot today than 2 years ago when it used to lose value.

That's the difference.

Or should I keep looking?

They've committed to msrp and my prior F80 was serviced there.

Congrats!! Look forward to seeing how you spec it out! (And you probably didn't even need to pay a fellow forum member for pointing you in the right direction )

Hahahah but I hear ya

This actually did not come from a forum referral although the forum has been very helpful

Called a dealer in West Virginia and they had none.

Shockingly sales mgr did a National search and gave me a referral

Called and started the process

That's awesome news! And that sales manager sounds like a good guy. He hooked you up, and it will probably make you more likely to do business with him (and/or refer him to others) going forward.

My take-away from your story... more dialing, less $500 finder's fees!

Make sure they give you a production number before you leave. No production number, no allocation.
