GTR – this combination of letters is a promising abbreviation for many motorsport and tuning fans, as it stands for Gran Turismo Racing. We have also often used it to designate particularly spectacular creations. Now the MH4 GTR II is making its debut. After the first top sports car with this designation was based on the first M4 of the F82 series, the new model is now of course based on the G82. In the case of the vehicle shown in the pictures, this is not just any M4, but a copy of the special CSL model limited to 1,000 units.

And with that please welcome the new MH4 GTR II to the range of modded M4s. This specific car is not a CSL, but a CSL look alike. MANHART is one of my favorite German tunning companies, along with Dinan, AMG (technically counts, okay?), and many (I like what I like) more. Aside from the…interesting, yep, wheels and paint (+fake CSL parts), I feel that this is a tastefully modified example.

Thanks to the proven in-house MHtronik auxiliary control unit, we push the three-litre, biturbo-charged S58 inline six to a whopping 702 hp and 880 Nm.

The press releases also mentions the fact that this kit(?) can be installed on both the M4 CSL and the M4 Competition, it didn’t say anything about the normal M4, but I’d assume it fits.

Added to this is a MANHART stainless steel exhaust system opening into four 110 mm tailpipes (with carbon coating or ceramic-coated). This is connected to the unit either via MANHART downpipes Race without catalytic converters or MANHART downpipes Sport with 300-cell GESI catalytic converters.

MANHART also offer a brake system upgrade, “on request”

Visually, the G82-based MH4 GTR also features various refinements – starting with the lowering, which is thanks to MANHART suspension optimization including height-adjustable MANHART coil springs by H&R.

I know some people will comment on how they don’t think these parts are “refinements,” but the GTR II does have some points of mention. These include the added F1 style fog-brake light, duck tail (ish) trunk lip, and the red pinstripes (which can be changed upon request)

Last but not least, it also guarantees that the new Forged+ 1 by Yido Performance forged alloy wheels are perfectly aligned under the fenders. The wheels measure 10×20 inches with 275/30 tires at the front and 11×20 inches with 295/30 tires at the rear. The rim colour can be individually configured on request, in this case Matte Black was chosen along with one orange-red accented double spoke each – perfectly matching the styling of the body.

The interior is refined by MANHART floor mats and SCHROTH 4-point racing harnesses, whose rear attachment points are formed by a Clubsport roll bar. Last but not least, the MH4 GTR II comes with a carbon fibre motorsport helmet for high-speed racing.

A sad day for MANHART as with the end of this release, they have to wait to use “ finally“ again until they release a new kit. Below is extra information, and below that are multiple pictures of the car in question, hope this was a good read - m3_boi

definitely, currently it’s a bit too understated. Needs more “look at me factor,” I think most people who would see this on the road would simply forget its there

One thing not mentioned in the press release is the price, so I’ve done some (probably incorrect) math and all the parts are £93,539.14 excluding labor.

So I’ve gone back through, and for the LEAST amount possible, this car will cost you £165,278.93, assuming you have someone who will do install for free. And for the record I do not think this looks good, I was just posing it here lol
