24 M4 Comp xDrive coupe under MSRP?

Placed an order for a 24 M4 comp xdrive and the dealer is not charging a markup over MSRP.

I'm located in Indiana and am shopping at a local BMW dealership, but I was wondering if anyone knows or has insight to whether I can get a better price than MSRP.

Thank you!

People are having a noticeable amount of trouble even finding ones for MSRP.

I was able to get $2k off MSRP for being a multi-repeat customer but most dealers really don't want to give anything off for the high demand of these cars.

You're not going to get anything crazy but you may be able to get $1-2k off. In the grand scheme of things it's really not a lot of money (compared to the price of the car) so most people don't bother

Where are you in Indiana? My CA told me last week they had 2 allocations for M4s checking my interest in switching from my M3 build.

Check with brokers on this forum. Usually you might be able to get more off MSRP on a in stock vehicle. Couplemof months ago some had 4-5K off MSRP. Those were ordered cars that customers didnt pick up. If u r set on ur build, then MSRP allocation might be par. If u qualify for BMW loyalty thats another $750 off. Would def ask brokers like Day Laborer about current market

That makes sense. Some have advised me to look out of state, but 1-2k isn't worth the hassle. Thank you!

Thank you for that information. I am pretty set on my build because it's an individual color ):

*Especially* on an individual color/custom order, you're not going to go too far under MSRP.

I figured that was the likely answer considering a lot of dealerships are getting very few allocations. There is two allocations ahead of me so they estimate that I won't get the vehicle until at least Feb 24.

I have several M4 Comp Verts available under MSRP. It's possible on the M4, not the M3.

I'm only looking for the M4 coupe unfortunately. Living in the midwest only allows so much enjoyment out of a vert lol.

Inventory is low due to the new models landing, overstock of 2023 M4s going.

M4 and M3 market are bit a different. M3s were never really overstocked and the 2024s just started building, won't be here in the states for another few weeks to a month. You will see them around September. My guess is towards the end of the year you will see more around MSRP with better inventory.

We are also a bit more lucky with supply since the M2s started coming in as well. Draws some M4/M3 shoppers into that market. If you can hold off to the End of the year, you will get a good chance at MSRP or less.

Depends on the market and yeah big difference between m3 and m4. Used m3s don't even last a day here in CO even with markups.

That makes sense. I don't particularly want to wait until the end of the year to try and get under MSRP by 1-2k because my current build isn't slated to be here until Feb-Mar of 24 assuming there isn't any delays.

I've found an M3 xDrive with a $90k MSRP that I've negotiated to about $8750 with loyalty and everything. I'm in CA with 9.5% tax rate.

How do you guys feel about $5000 down, $1450/month lease (10k, 36 months).
Residual: 55%
MF: 00230

I feel like a broken record at this point: No money down on a lease. If this is just the "due at signing" cost (fees, first month's payment, etc.) then that's fine, but make sure it's not a "down payment"

Residual is good, MF is *decent* but some are able to get .00195, it'll depend on your credit.

That's a hell of a discount on an M3, no less.

My credit is over 850, but they're not budging on that. They say it's set by BMW. Is that something I could press them for?

I think the due at signing is 3-4k, so I'm paying slightly more. I don't mind that kind of gamble .

It could be. Market dependent and all that.

I'd just make absolute sure whatever line item is the "down payment" is $0.

I guess they're lowering the sale value, but at the same time they're inflating the MF. That kills the deal for me.

I got around 16,5k (~13%) discount on the M4CX i ordered a couple of weeks ago.

The dealers here in Scandinavia says it’s possible to get a better discount on factory fit options/packages, compared to options fitted at the dealer (port).

So the discount will be different depending how the car is speced, and the different options/packages that goes into it.

Not sure if it’s the same “system” worldwide.

Also have in mind the price of the car and options are higher here, with VAT at 25% and also income taxes at 55%. 🫣

Yeah and your healthcare costs are 0%

It's not really "inflating" anything, these rates are set by BMWFS and are highly dependent on market and timing. If you have a high score, no high amount of pulls, decently low utilization, diverse credit accounts, etc, then that's the lowest rate you're gonna get. It's 5.5%~ ish, which is pretty low compared to the basis rate today with the increases going on.

IMO the deal is fine, just make sure you're not paying any down payment :P
