Are all wheel spacers created equal?

As the title states. What's the best brand in terms of quality? Does it matter?

I saw that the preferred setup on ind website is 12/15 but also spoke to an expert who said depending on the tire lottery 10/15 may be better. What do you have and post pics!

Thanks in advance!

I believe IND sells the Future Classic spacers. I have the FC 12mm all around right now with Michelins and no rubbing. I am not lowered yet. Will do that in the spring.

I have both BMS 10mm and MS (Macht Schnell) 10/12mm. They both seem well made although the MS 10mm are actually a tad more than that (or BMS are less). When set on a flat surface next to each other the MS 10s are fractionally taller.

Also, and not sure if it matters, the BMS are larger in diameter and cover more of the wheel hub than the MS.

There is no best, just get a proven brand. I recommend BMS, Future Classic

I have H&S spacers and run 15 mm square on my lowered M4. The writing on the box is in German. Builds confidence.

There are better, but most are 6061 aluminum which is enough but there are spacers that exceed that level of structure/strength.

The most important piece (once meeting and exceeding 6061)is proper fitment AND install.

I have:

H&R on my R8, C63s BS, M8, and M3

I can not use spacers on my Porsche.

I'm running 12/15 and I have Pirellis. No rubbing at all. 12 front and 15 rear. Once I switch out to Michelins it'll be 15 all around.

Is it that there is less bulge with pirellis? Why the different reccs between the two tires

Pirellis have a thicker side wall which prevents me from using a 15mm in the front since it hits the fins on the fender lining. It's possible if you're willing to cut out or deform (by heating) the fins. With Michelins the side walls are flat and easy to go to a 15mm. No rubbing at all when at full lock.

I have Macht Schnell from EAS with one of the more extreme setups, 18F/15R on Pirellis. Be aware that there is some trimming required with the setup otherwise you get some very obnoxious rubbing noises. The tires rub on the plastic fins behind the radiators breaking off one side. That leads to the fins vibrating when the tire rubs, typically when backing out of parking spaces.

Below is a pic of the trimming on my car

And here is the stance with KW HAS

Running Future Classics (15f/12/r) on the G80 M3 with KW HAS on 20” wheels with the Pirellis and have some rubbing at the front left when reversing toward passenger side. Rear is fine. Car is set to one half turn short of lowest setting up front and one full turn short of highest setting at the near. I’ve read and am hopefully once I switch the Michelin tires it will resolve the rubbing up front.

I have seen a couple videos on youtube of guys running 12's in the front & 15's in the back...can anyone chime in here? Why does this seem to be such a rare set up? I understand its all preference but this seems to be very out of consensus.

Ind recommends this as most popular setup on their website

Likely because the front wheels are inset more into the fenders than the rears from the factory. Most people seem to prefer the setup reversed (15 front/12 rear, or some similar configuration) so the wider spacers are used up front to make all the wheels appear more flush with the fenders.

According to their thread they actually recommend the opposite (15mm front / 12mm rear).
