What 10 things would you code?

G82 or G83? What feature would you code?

Definitely ASD off.
Loud exhaust mode off during start up.
Every single driver aid setting to stay off. (it turns back on when you restart the car).

Other than that, i think everything else is fine.

Before you start the car, can’t you hit the exhaust button to start the car quieter. That’s what I do when I leave in morning seems to make it a little quieter.

Things I’d code
- More interior lighting options. If I want blue doors and dash but with a red footwell make it so.
- “Get out of car” mode. When you put the vehicle in park and turn off the engine, the seats move back to make exiting the vehicle easier. My lowly Camaro had this.
- Different weather rules for driver and passenger. My wife(normally passenger) would love the heated seats on if it’s below 60. I don’t use them until it’s below 40. The rules apply to both.

So what aspect of the laser lights are turned off in the US. I’ve seen conflicting messages.

On that note - is that what the blue daylight running lights are? I was taking a picture of my M3 at night one day and noticed that. Is that because the auto highbeam feature turned them on, or is that just what they look like at night?

Did you ask for stuff that can be coded or what like to haves? Here's my list for coding with Bimmercode.

ASD off
Hazards on emergency braking
Close trunk with key
Comfort closing
One touch turn signal set to 5
Remove idrive nag
B&W codec - depends on preference

That's what they look like at night. I think the laser part is always on, but at greatly reduced output.

I forget where it is but there's a coding to turn the radio off when you open the door. I'm still not used to BMW's weird system that doesn't work the way other cars do.

Wait, there is no comfort access on this car?

Also how do the M modes work? Does it save your last setting? I'd if you want the loud exhaust when start the car do you have to change that node every time you get in?

Comfort access exists, exhaust is always on when you start up the car and M modes are programmable to the M1/2 buttons. You can also change it in the M menu but there are only 2 presets. The car will always start in Efficient/comfort by default.

You sure about that? Every BMW which offers 'climate rules' allows seat heating and ventilation thresholds for driver's seat independent of passenger's seat, including our G8x -- or so I thought. I'll have to check that out in the morning. I know for my profile the seat heating/ventilation is only activated for the driver's seat, because I'm driving alone 90% of the time.

- Anti Dazzle on line in EU
- Laser Light functionality like in EU
- Change car color in iDrive to match more closely with individual color and not be grey
- Turn signals in HUD, I did this in my X4 and really like it
- iDrive nag off
- turn of the "wink" when turn signals are on. (or have toggle in iDrive)
- emergency lights on hard braking

What is the wink in this case you're referring to? The other DRL turning off next to the turn signal? I do find it weird that you lose an entire daylight running light when you use a turn signal

When you turn on your left turn signal the left daytime running light turns off. (right does the same) Wink is Audi's term for it, I don't know what BMW calls it, but I'd like to option to turn it off.

You can turn it off. Or have it similar to Euro specs car. My car only uses the outer ring for indicator and the inner ring still lights up.

I also did the same for my pre-audi TT.

I have done a few so far with bimmercode, now trying to playing around with easy exit.
