Possible Interference with radar detector?
Is anyone having any issues with their radar detector going off , mostly laser false alarms. I have V1 mounted with a blendmount. Could there be any sensors causing it ? Or my radar is broken.

I believe I've read on here previously that this is due to the gesture control. Probably need to play around with the placement of the radar detector and find the sweet spot for it.

I turned off gesture control a while ago before Installing the radar. But i notice it happens sometimes and then randomly will work normal. Must be when it moves slightly up or down.

I have a v1 gen 2 also mounted w/ blendmount. I had to program it to deactivate the rear laser warning, not sure what was setting that off because I turned off gesture controls.

It’s the gesture control, turning off the feature doesn’t disable the emitter. If you physically cover it, the laser falses will stop.

Anyone have another brand of detector (besides Valentine) where this is happening? I have an Escort 360 Max and am curious if this will potentially affect my car when it comes in.

Don't think you can turn off the rear laser on the V1 gen 1. Gen 2 perhaps you can

You really shouldn't need to turn anything off, Is this happening all the time for you ? I have a v1 gen2 and blendmount and the only time I get the false rear laser is when i put my hand up near the detector, which is rare. Try adjusting the mount and the detector so that it is pushed as far forward as possible.

For the OP: I have both the V1 gen1 and the V1 gen2 in cars with gesture control, both blendmounted. Neither of them beep unless I raise my hand up to near the gesture control emitter and that causes some IR to land on the V1. Work on your V1 positioning. You don't need to upgrade to the gen2 if you already have a newer V1. I have both and can't say that the gen2 is particularly spectacular or anything. It looks newer, sure, but the gen 1 is not bad looking.

Just put black tape over the gesture laser sensor. Gesture control is dumb anyway.

I have gesture control enabled and there are no laser false alarms with my R7.
