Can't update iDrive Software

Apologize if this has been answered elsewhere...downloaded the new software update but wouldn't install because "parking brake was not applied". It was in park but to my knowledge, there is no parking brake like there was in F82. Any help would be appreciated.

There is an electronic parking brake toggle in the center console…. Is this not what it's referencing?

Doesnt idrive update itself? What is this update you manually did? Where does one get it?
