I spoke by then to my dealer and they conserved the price that I had signed before. They did that by adding the extra price as a discount for me.
If your dealer did not pass on the price increase from the manufacturer to you, they should have covered it. Its nice of them and i have never seen one in US.

I'm having this same dilemma, I've only ever owned BMW and was looking forward to a 22' G80X but at this point it's getting harder to justify, I'm sure the current world situation isn't helping any of us either

I'm right there with you guys…I really don't need a new car now, but I have an itch after selling my 2020 M4CS this past summer and now "slumming" it in my wife's previous 2020 X5 M50i.

I had an extended test drive of an M3P a couple years ago, and really have not stopped thinking about the car. I'm inpatient however, and I just rather get an existing inventory car rather than order. It still looks like order cars will arrive in Dec however.

But then again, I'm a true BMW fanboi, and if I could find an msrp unicorn M3/4 AWD unspoken for, I'd rather give that a go. I actually have an msrp 2022 M5C lined up that caught my eye, but do I really want pay $41k (M5C) vs $18k (M3/4) OTD after taking into account my X5 trade.

Get this, I got my custom ordered loaded X5 M50i a little after 2yrs ago for $81k OTD and I was offered $79k for it yesterday. I guess that makes up for no discounts anywhere!!

I have a couple of M3/4 allocations possible, but don't want to wait. Should I give the M5C a go?? Probably the last V8TT M5. It's to arrive a port 12/10, but the damn RAM stop sale will probably take forever
The M3 has been my dream car for a long time and I'm absolutely loving it so far. However, if I could actually afford it and was given the opportunity for one, I think I'd pick the M5 CS any day of the week. That is just a special car.

It was bound to happen. It won't be unique to BMW either. Ford CEO has been hinting at it too. They have no choice based on the profit that the dealers are pocketing. The question will be how much of that market adjustment are dealers willing to give up? It really comes down to the consumers putting a stop to it by not accepting the mark ups.

I'm not mad that there is a price increase, it was expected.

What I am annoyed about is that their cut off is cars produced starting January 1. Its Dec, so there is not much notice here. Also, there is many of us who ordered their cars months ago and have had our production dates delayed and now we are subject to the increase when technically, its not our fault.

I hope there is some sort of good grace they give us. Whether its the dealerships who honor the price or BMW directly throwing some incentives.

I guess time will tell.

I don't see anything about a price increase in the USA and also the configurator still shows $76,900 for the M3CX

Prices has risen also here of 3.800 €uros in the last months for every M3 model compared to the summer pricelist.

But don't worry, this will affect only the new contracts. If you have signed a contract and has been delayed, you'll keep the original price.

Yeah that's exactly what I said, as I understand this only affects people ORDERING the car after the 1st of january.

As of now, this thread is a speculation that US prices might be increased similar to that of Canada.

From my dealer: We have not been sent anything regarding the price change. I don’t see this happening to your car, but I can see that changes may happen soon and that would not surprise me. Your car is scheduled to be built in December so this would ideally not affect us anyways.

This is not at all surprising.

I know Subaru has said their costs of parts and materials to build cars have risen 108% this year.

I would have to think that all manufacturers are experiencing massive jumps in costs of materials and shipping. They can't absorb these costs forever just a matter of time ti prices go up. On everything.

Not here in Germany. Prices are fixed for max 4 month. After that you have to pay the actual new prices. They put a cap of 5% on this, i.e. you may pay about max. 5k based on an MSRP of 100k more. But the whole thing is ridiculous. The same party that has control of the delivery time has control over when and how much to increase the prices. But all sales contracts are same here. Currently I do not know when my car will come, how much it will cost by then and what the final configuration will be, due to deletion of options.

Honestly, I don’t t care! In any other kind of business you pay the price you contracted. This is why you time your purchase and be happy to lock in a rebate as an early bird. If I order something on ebay, on Amazon or at a shop next door I pay the price at time of order not at time of delivery. But happy for you guys if your prices stay as negotiated.

Too bad for them. They should have fixed price contracts with suppliers for the entire model years production. Stop sticking up for these OEMs as it only enables them to raise prices when they shouldnt. After the model year is over then go nuts.

Agreed. Honor the price on the order. If they don't it will hurt future business customers won't forget. We will also see if any dealers help or just add their additional markup if they had one.

Talked to my dealer, my order was placed December 1st and they are honouring the price in my contact. They actually let me know that the increase was coming and we got my order and credit app done in time. I think orders placed as of now are subject to price increase. The Canadian site already shows the increase.

I see the increase. Did rates also move down from 4.99 to 4.49?
