I ordered 15mm future classics from IND for the front and rear. Currently on my winter wheel setup which desperately needed a little help to look decent. I’ll post up photos when they come in. I won’t be getting KW HAS until spring, so I’ll be at the stock height.

Lowered on KW HAS, not sure on the actual measurements though. The front is lowered more than the rear to reduce the rear squat look.

Question for all - when experiencing rubbing, are your cars lowered? Will I experience rubbing on a stock suspension?

Thanks!

It depends on what tires you have. There are no limits on the Michelins. 15 front and 15 rear, are fine, lowered or not. Pirellis, 12mm and larger, rub on the left front, full lock while backing up. Word is 12mm front doesn't rub if you're lowered. So, the safe bet, unless you're lowered, is 10mm front 12-15mm rear. I did meet someone, this weekend, that had 20MM on the rear. Still no rubbing.

This is literally exactly what I was looking for! I think this setup at the oem height looks great with spacers.

I lowered my F80 with KW HAS and then had it raised about an inch to avoid scraping on backroads. Now wish I did another inch or so for added clearance. I hate feeling like I have to tiptoe around everywhere I go. Certain parking lots I have to avoid certain entrances/exits. While I haven't yet and this is exaggerating, I've even felt like I have to plan my trip ahead of time. Check Google Maps street view to see what the entrances look like. Does the parking lot have speedbumps? Obviously at stock height you still have to watch certain areas but it's far more enjoyable to me. The anxiety has spoiled some of the enthusiam of driving my car. I still love it of course but if I wasn't selling it, I'd definitely raise it more.

I have second thoughts from lowering my car and am considering going back to oem. Having issues with springs binding on front and noticed today a noise coming from rear spring. Love the look but not at the cost of car sounding like a hooptie.

I have MSS springs on and the left side was making a squeaky sound so I had it reinstalled. Now the right side is clicking and when I hit a decent bump, I hear a binding sound. To add insult to injury, when I back into my garage, I hear a clicking noise now. Too much going on for a 80k car and have it sound like a hooptie. I'm confident in my installer and he's installed many springs before.
I've invested 1300 bucks and 600 for install and alignment and am not happy with it. Also car crashes a little o big bumps. I don't know the recourse for installed springs but not happy at all.

I just installed Cup2 Connects and they rub the vents slightly, unlike the *MPS4S. 15mm spacers all around.

Thanks for this. I was going to actually make a separate post, yesterday on spacers with Cup2s, and forgot about it. So, I'll just treat the Cup2s like Pirellis. Rub with more than 10-12mm spacers.

What spacer set up are you running ?

I have basically the same car and same thoughts of leaving factory ride height or possibly installing KW HAS. Just so many options on what's best, dependent on which tires etc.

I did 15/13 BMS spacers before lowering car on MSS. I do wish I had Bi-color wheels though.

Pics Below. 15mm rear and 12mm front with Pirellis and no rubbing. I'll be lowering my car once I receive the KW HAS kit.
I'm planning on doing the same spacers. Do you notice tons more rocks kicking up towards the side of your car?

With 12mm on the front I did not notice any rocks kicking up, but when I upgrade to 18mm, I also bought mud flaps at the same time. With 18mm I can hear the rocks hitting the mud flaps.

Thanks for the pics of spacers without lowering the car. Not sure I want to deal with the ride and other issues associated with lowering. The spacers alone give a more aggressive stance.

The 18mm look perfect. I have mine but not installed yet. Still having issues with MSS setup. I'm having guy reinstall the passenger side again to see if the noise will go away. Now I'm hearing a clicking noise backing in garage from the rear.

I think the M3 oem ride height is prefect. Wish the M4 was slightly lower from factory.

What kind of issues are you having?

I was having issues with MSS as well. The new springs that were sent were binding. I heard it on every bump, regardless of size. Similar issue as Mraceguy. I finally replaced them with the old springs and no more binding.

At first it was the right side making a squeaking sound and binding on the driver's side, reinstalled and noise gone. After a month or so the right started so I am having it reinstalled to see if it fixes the problem. When I hit a dip on the road, it binds. Also my back passenger side is now making a clicking sound so I'm going to have the mechanic see if a bolt is loose. To be honest, the springs do look beat up for just 1k in miles on them. If this doesn't fix it, I'm going back to oem springs. The bad part about this is 2k in springs and install is a hard pill to swallow. I'm hoping more will come forward so there will be a recourse to return.
