TireRack TPMS sensors not working (kind of)

Ordered winter wheels and tires from TireRack and the TPMS sensors read the tire pressures fine but I still get a tire pressure low error code. Took it to the dealer and they claim I need OEM BMW sensors which cost $800!! It's not a big deal because I just get a warning on startup which I click through but I'd like to get my sensors to not show low pressure even though they show the accurate pressures? Anyone else have this problem? I did a search and couldn't find anything. No way in hell I'm paying $800 for sensors.

That is BS that you need to go through the dealer. I used these with no issues and the price cant be beaten.

If the tires are being read and it shows the psi in yellow text you can get rid of that by changing your tire type to "other" from summer in the tire menu.

My tire rack sensors work great, maybe just a bad sensor.

Can you determine which wheel it is? Perhaps you can let TR know and they will send a new one?

Thanks. Which of the tire sensors on that website did you opt for? Was it this one?

I have bought wheels/tires from TR and they worked just fine for my G05. Bought another set of wheels and tires two months ago and nothing but troubles with the TPMS. Contacted TR and they sent me four new ones, problem solved.

I just installed a package from Tire Rack and the TPMS sensors linked up just fine. No problems. Gotta love Tire Rack. Ordered the package Monday and they're on the car on Thursday! (And that's only because they had to ship from South Bend. If everything was in stock in Delaware they would have been here yesterday.)

I usually go that route but they had nothing in stock back in Nov. Also, didn't really like the selection of wheels they had. Glad to hear they've restocked.
