Like the title says, any G80/82s in the Sacramento area, or someone with one on order?

I'm waiting on my 2022 Dravit Gray/Black Full Merino G82 xDrive. Currently 150 status.

Car is on a ship and en route. Should be at the California port around 8/28.

Hopefully the EPA approval process is complete by then!

Literally just got off the phone with Genius, while you posted this. Car hit "production queue" on July 28th. Estimated Completion date, August 25th. They couldn't tell me anything else, except my order isn't showing a stop sale, or waiting for parts. It's just going to be a month until it's completed. Then it'll sit, waiting for a shipping assignment, then about a month on the ship. Dravit Gray and CCBs most likely slowing down production. Genius mentioned that 95% of the cars aren't specd as high as mine, so, it's going to take more time.

Ah, yes! And I think you're right. I don't think there are any xDrives out here. Are you picking it up from a local dealer, or having it trucked in?

I placed my order at BMW Fremont. I'll just be driving up there to pick it up. They didn't rip me off base MF at MSRP. I reached out to pretty much every dealer in the area and they were the ones who were honest with me.

I ended up getting a homie hookup from a friend that knows the managers at Neillo. So, I'll be getting mine delivered at either Sacramento or Elk Grove. Wherever the allocation is from.

That's dope. Honestly I was gonna reach out and see if I could do the same but I still have to put 1k miles on it to do the break in service so I don't even mind the drive up there.

Are you planning any mods? I already got my tint scheduled and I haven't even taken delivery yet. 😂

I'm still too far out to schedule any of that. I'm not even sure when it's leaving the port. I'm getting the windows tinted, for sure. I've used Genesis on like 5 of my cars, and Appearance Solutions for 1, and a place in Fairfield did 2 others. I'll probably use Genesis, again. I like the Formula One Stratos, but it's usually about $950. Still trying to decide if I'm going to lease or buy. I'll still probably get PPF, even if I lease. Car is just too nice to bear seeing it get trashed with rocks and highway debris.

Mods, it's already pretty fast. But I have a hard time keeping anything stock. Probably at least downpipe and a JB4. But I'm kind of waiting to see what a custom tune allots. I've already seen an xDrive running 10.4 @ 132. On Draggy. So, we will see. This car in the 9s without any drama, from things breaking, would be amazing.

Mine should be at the dealer next week; it got to the port on 8/30 and I was hoping I'd be able to pick it up this weekend but it wont arrive at the dealer until 9/8.

As for window tints, I've used Stealth in Yuba City for my past couple of cars, but read up on Genesis and they have great reviews. Might give them a try this time.

Yuba is close to me. I actually live just south of Marysville. I haven't used anyone out there, I'd always gone to Genesis, for windows. I want to take the car to Detail Maniac for new car prep and PPF, but they're scheduled like a month out, and I don't know when my car is going to arrive. It may get to Hueneme and be there another week or more, waiting on a truck.

I'll be adding the ceramic coat myself, but def need the windows tinted ASAP. Need to make some calls and see what brand/percentages Stealth has at the moment, as well as Genesis.

I'll update once I've got the car.

I do paint correction and Ceramic coating, myself, as well, however, I wanted something Professional grade, heat lamp cured, for this car. Usually I hit it with a Rupes yellow and white, maybe use some 3D One, or Sonax Perfect finish. But Ill leave the PPF to someone that knows what theyre doing.

Same pads, and I've been using Sonax Perfect finish. I chose white mostly to help hide the swirls; drives me nuts.

I've heard good things about 3D One but haven't tried it myself; how do you like it?
