Also I recommend putting the surround intensity all the way to the right

I was trying to figure out what exactly what changing as I moved that slider

Which profile did you guys prefer. I have slider in center for all, except Studio which is not a surround profile.

I think the speakers in the back become louder so it’s more the sorround sound feel

Do you have issue where everytime you shut off car it and turn back on the settings stay the same but the back speakers don’t play unless you press a different setting then back to original setting you had when you showed it off car
I have it in concert which is surround but when I turn on car it’s not surround then I press studio then back to concert then only it goes surround

My problem is I have the 23 speaker 1800 watt actual B&W system in my V60 Polestar and this pales in direct comparison DSP's need speakers and a amp to make work. I will switch back to Logic 7 tomorrow...

When I return from vacation, this car is going under the audio upgrade knife, front stage and center getting speakers and I'm looking at some hardware upgrades for this crap amp with some actual sound correction.

I turned off the Active sound, now it's time to fill it with some other sound.

BTW I tried using all 5 with FLAC files, various music, these DSPs really need better drivers to work.

Obviously better speakers and drivers would make a drastic difference, but this is at least an improvement over what BMW gave us stock.

Yes, my favorite setting is Concert with the intensity setting all the way to the right, so thanks for suggesting this. It may have taken me some time to try the intensity all the way to the right, as I usually don't like that much surround integration, but for Concert, I like it, A LOT.

I gotta chime in, I think this does make a difference. Just tested out my regular playlist with this change, decent results. More down low and that was the key area I feel has been lacking.

I just ordered a new setup for my G05. I have the HK system. I tried this setting tonight before I read this post. I noticed it has more bass down low, it sounds LOUDER. I am getting the Match 10 DSP, Earthquake underseat subs, and Focal K2 4" components. I am actually thinking about skipping the Match 10DSP for now and just replace the speakers. I would save myself around $1600 in parts. 10DSP with mec analog and harness cost around 1500-1600 depending on dealer. I was quoted $600 for labor to install all. If I skip the amp, that could take another $200 off possibly because they dont have to tune the DSP or install the amp. The K2s will be here on the 29th. Subs here tomorrow. I will post results.

Do the Earthquakes fit the HK underseat sub locations? I know alot of F30 people are using them but I think the stock subs are different in the G chassis.

There was another thread on here where someone did the same coding. They used (software I think?) to score/evaluate stock vs B&W and the B&W scored slightly lower than stock. I looked for the thread but couldn't easily find it,

Has anyone else had their rear speakers stop working with this (with one of the surround options)?

I just coded this option yesterday and it seemed to be just fine in Stage, and for the morning commute today. Coming back home I couldn't hear the rear speakers (which I usually could if I leaned my head back into the headrest) but wasn't sure if I was just imagining things or not, but sure enough I left the car running when I parked and confirmed that the rear speakers stopped playing - all of them on both sides. Changing it back to studio fixed it and then I set to concert and they were all working. So I changed to Stage again and they were working just fine and within a minute of me testing they stopped again, so I put it back to concert.

Is stage supposed to be just the front speakers and not actually run the rear (but still have the surround sound through the front speakers) or is this definitely a bug?

Surround means that the rear speakers will sound only when there is a surround effect in the audio decoding in this particular DSP. No surround effect, no audio in the rear speakers.

is it possible to do this with the demo version of Bimmercode or do i need to pay for the full version? I attempted it in demo mode but did not see an option to change the headunit anywhere

I've done this today as finally managed to get my BC app working with my ENET cable and iPhone

Is the sound better than stock? Not 100% convinced but will keep playing around with the settings. Concert does seem better than studio or the other options though..
