I installed my DR900X-2CH Plus last night. Overall, I'm pleased with how the install went. Mine is powered by the trunk 12v outlet. The only thing I'm not super happy about is the B-pillar because I couldn't get the wire completely hidden (see pic 3 below). Suggestions welcome.

Huge shoutout to mzcp for all of his help and patience with my questions! And always thanks to this forum of friends as well. Appreciate you all.

EDIT: I was able to hide the cable at the B pillar so it's all nice and tidy now.

I emailed blackvue but haven't received a response in days. Looking to order one. When you select the space available is that internal space, or is that simply a micro SD card included?

It's the SD card size. I ordered the 32GB version from them and then ordered a 256GB SD card from Amazon for $35.

Also, if you end up getting the DR900X-2CH Plus and it comes with firmware version 1.00 then DO NOT upgrade it to 1.03. There's a bug in 1.03 that causes the SD card to get reformatted every time the camera loses power. I had upgraded mine when I installed it. I contacted Blackvue support and they told me about the issue and gave me the 1.00 version which you won't find on their site anywhere.

Thank you for both of your responses. That's what I figured with the SD card. Good to know about the firmware.

Cleaned up the cabling and got the LTE module configured with Verizon. Very pleased with it other than Verizon's BS activation fee.

They couldn't use the IMEI for the device itself so they ended up using an IMEI off of one of their demo iPads that they can't sell. Providing an old phone IMEI would result in them billing me for a cell plan vs the $10 data-only plan.

How did you hide the cable at b pillar? I'm having hard time here lol. Did you hide the cable behind the top part above the gap or the lower part below the gap? Mine is sitting right at the gap at the moment.

Gotta jam it in there... "That's what she said..."

But seriously, just use the tool that came with the blackvue and pull back that b-pillar trim, it's challenging but it will hide eventually.

Finally figured it out, the cord has to be tucked inside the top trim. It's all nice and tidy now.

That'll work fine but it comes with a cigarette lighter adapter. You can modify the cable to support usb-c though. I run the battery pack w/ 1 expansion pack

Running the same setup powered from the trunks cigarette outlet. Lately mine has been cutting off. Tried to extract a clip from the dash cam to only find out it's not on. Yea the battery pack was dead but it's still supposed to be running while the car is on. I had to simply unplug and replug it but did this for the past 2 days. Is this a problem anyone else is having?

Has anyone tapped into the rear fusebox for power that is on all the time? F273 switches off after 7 minutes and I want power constantly for Parking Mode on my dashcam.

I have mine tapped into the rear fuse box, but it's not powered all the time. I have an additional battery pack and with both charged I end up with the time I need for most situations.

Maybe this fuse diagram will help.

I did not purchase a Blackvue cam system. Can you use any battery pack that can put out the 5v?
