Did you install the KW HAS yourself? I'm ordering them soon and may install myself if it's not too much of a pain.
No I did not install myself; way too much work for me. The first shop that I took the car to installed the springs incorrectly and also had the rear slammed as low as the car would go; it looked terrible. I took my car to a very professional shop who corrected the original install and corrected the height.

Yes I agree, the bronze looks great on grey and darker colored cars. I had an M8 (photo attached) with the wheels powder coated bronze. While black does look good I prefer bronze for a more custom look. Bronze would look nice on your blue car.

I don't want a loaner. Because if i ask for a loaner, that might encourage them to take their time. There's a lot of "kids" that work at that service dept from what i hear. And i know they see these cars all day everyday but the less time they have the car in their hands the less that can go wrong. I don't want to make a thread about, "so i took my car to get the break in oil change and this is what happened......." lol

Oh I drove the shit out of both my G80's from day one... but warmed up the oil first and went up and down the the rpm range with no lugging or fixed speeds (for the most part). Broke it in like a motorcycle stretch those seals.
I exceeded the 5500rpm limit a couple of times already. By mistake. I can't time the gearing just right yet as my C7Z has extremely long gears and it's easier for me to remember what RPM i would be at whatever MPH at whatever gear.

This car is a lease so frankly i don't care what happens to this car at 40-50k+ because i won't have it at that mileage. But i just don't want issues during my 3 year stint with it. So i do want to abide by the "rules" so to speak.

However i will beat the ever living piss out of this car though. Make sure I BREAK IT IN properly. You know....for the next owner

Just a cover with 3m adhesive. Noticing the XM signal is more vulnerable to drop under bridges and areas with lots of trees. I listen to XM especially during Christmas holidays with my so and am considering removing it if it becomes anymore of a nuisance. Still love the look and gps has not had any issues to date. Keeping it on for now. I will give updates on my experience with it as time goes. Hope that helps!

I like the way the carbon stands out, against Dravit Gray. Installed these, today.

Drove in heavy snow for the first time (from town to home, ~15 miles). Temps a few degrees below freezing, so it was slipperier than usual. Tires/car took conditions in stride.

Really like the look of carbon against Dravit Grey -- just the right amount of accent, if you aim to keep things subtle!

Unless OP has something entirely different but the one I have is from Autoteknic and is just a cover held on by 3M tape.

https://autotecknic.com/collections/...a-cover-g80-m3
Gotcha. I have seen that one before just wondering how it's installed. BMW has one on the M Performance tab in ETK right now. It's listed as Aramid and not carbon fiber but it looks like carbon. Kind of hard to know for sure what it is since I don't think it's released for USA yet. Also I don't think BMW would make a carbon shark fin cover knowing it will affect XM radio signal.

First photo is a carbon cover on an i4 and the 2nd photo is it on an M4 from BMW M. Both OEM parts I assume as both from BMW publications just that the parts are too new at this point.
I'd definitely be interest in a full OEM version versus a cover.
If you want to try you can order PN 65205A59AB7. It's aramid which is still a weave like carbon but it is considered "electromagnetically permeable". Which is probably why it won't affect XM or other signals. That is the part number for the one in the top photo I showed.

What have you done with your M3/M4 today?

Try the launch control, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

Went into the M2 presets and made a few changes, now the car will do launch control just by hitting the M2 button and flooring the throttle with the brake depressed.

Result: You're not ready for how violent this car launches. I told myself, self, it can't be much better than brake boosting is, because that's essentially what you're doing. Bullshit. I let this fakkn rip, and holy shit, xDrive. All 4 tires broke loose, and this thing turned into a missile. So, so violent. Easily the hardest launch I've ever partaken it.
