Some of us had a feeling that this was coming. With a significant reduction in price. This has now been confirmed by part numbers separating the LCi style Laser lights from the original CSL Laser lights, released on the G82 CSL.

Please confirm part number compatibility by VIN, before purchase. This post is for informational purposes, only and I am not responsible for you not verifying and ordering the correct part numbers.

Update on coding requirements. There is a flicker that we are working out. This has also been confirmed to function the same on the original CSL tail lights when retrofitted to a G8X. If you read into the thread, it can be coded out. If you’re willing to live with it, thats up to you, personally.

If you want the turn signal and the brake light separated, the lights need to be coded, and a wire needs to be added to a plug in the passenger side footwell. The part numbers have been taken directly from a 2025 G82 VIN number, and the ECE tail light part numbers, have been provided by 2 separate shops in Germany.

BMW G82 LCi Tail Light part numbers: Pricing seems to be falling into the $2,200 to $2,400 range, for all 4 light pieces.

Is there a separate part number for the G83?

I've never paid attention to it, but what is the stock functionality? (turn signal and brake light separate vs same)

Same light units. However, be aware that g83s seem to have all been prewired (at least mine was, and every other 22 and 23 I know of that's tried.)

All we need to do is the coding, and we get the oem euro separated turn signals (or Sequentials like on my aftermarket csls)

Stock in US is the brake and turn share the same light. Different in the EU and ROW.

On the euro tails, these 2 lamps are separated. The top thin line blinks for turn signal, while the lower is the brake light.

In the US model, both of these, together are brake lights, and both blink together, for turn signals.

White car is US Spec. Where both blink, together, and gray car is just the Euro turn signal blinking.

FWIW, you can code your lights to Euro spec pretty easily. tom @ eas did it for me.

Small difference, but it looks much better the euro way.

Do updates kill the coding? And the G83 for some reason, has the wiring and the G82 doesn’t.

I assume yes. I know that a dealer hooking it up to scan etc. will reset the coding. Figure it's the same with a remote update.

Then again -- it takes 5 minutes to redo. Still annoying though.

There's some other great euro options to pick from too (i.e. kill the amber illumination when the headlights are on at night, brake force display, etc.)

That's pretty reassuring. So on the G83 these are literally plug-n-play?

The G82 is plug and play as well. Just the G83 has that wire to separate the turn and brake, if you code it in. The G82 needs the wire run from the passenger floor kick panel fuse box.

Lol, I love how the screen is cropped, hiding prices. 😂 Seems prices, even due to the abundance of them on the 2025’s, will be driven by greed and not supply. 🙄

Can confirm updates kill the coding and it reverts to us coding but is super easy to code back to the Euro way. Time to do some shopping

The prices don’t matter. The picture was so wide screen, I needed to zoom the part numbers to see it on the phone. So, it inadvertently cut off the prices. I called my local dealer with the part numbers and they told me $4,470.63. Plug the numbers in, online and you can find them for $2,300ish shipped.

Can anyone speak to if the seals are needed too?

Also what's the protective film about?

The whole page is other parts of the rear trunk/ boot section. Just pay attention to the tails. They should come complete ready to install.

Another difference is the extra LED on the side of the US spec. See attached photos. Left US vs. Right Euro. Ask me how I know, I have both.

Also on the Euro spec, the bottom brake light is what blinks for turn signal.

So what's the difference other than calling it CSL Laser vs. LCI Laser and price?

I paid $5,895.00 for a set of CSL Laser (Euro Spec) last year. I plugged in the numbers for the LCI Laser on the same website and it's $2308.64 without shipping and taxes.

This is what I'm trying to figure out. IS there a difference functionally/aesthetically between the CSL and LSI lights?

Well, for 2025, the deal is, now, they’re available on every G22-G82 as a standard feature. The ordering guide is available and there is no option to select them when you build the model out. I would imagine if they’re the same, that the old CSL tail light part number may be discontinued.

BMW needed to find a cheaper way to produce them, or they found a cheaper supplier for the lights, before the decided to install them on every single 2025. Having a set of $8,500 (retail) tail lights on every single car, without raising the price of the car to compensate for it, doesn’t seem like a good move.

When you get to the end of the build, and look at the summary page on the build, the tail lights are installed on the car.

The only plausible option is, they’re standard. I believe it’s already been confirmed that they are standard, I just can’t remember where I read it. And it’s 3am, so, I’m not going to go looking.

Looking at the pictures, up close, the main difference I was looking for, was the yellow triangle laser sticker, denoting that they are in fact laser and not just LEDs, like most of the alibaba knock offs. Even alibaba has some real laser tails. And the actual LCi tails, do say “BMW Laser” on them.

I don’t see any noticeable differences. I ordered a set, but, I don’t have any real CSL tails to compare them to. I probably need to get a hold of Skyscraper as he’s local to me, and has a real CSL set on his G82. He would be able to see if there were any difference with them. I called my local parts counter, who doesn’t discount anything, and actual MSRP, according to them, is $4,470. I was able to get mine for $2,3xx.

I had them ordered at another place, for $2,081 shipped, but they cancelled my order, saying, if they couldn’t get them within 10 days, it was their policy to cancel the order. What I really think, is, they didn’t know about the part number and when the price was added to their order guide, it was too cheap, and when you order parts from this place, anything over $899.00 ships for free. So, they were also eating shipping.

$577 is too high. I paid $544. The place that cancelled my order, was $520. But, they claimed they don’t do special orders that take more than 10 days to get.

Damn - I thought I did well with getting them for $693 a piece from the dealer. I guess at least I have a warranty for them. List is 815 according to my local dealer.
