A little town in Australia just hit 51 degrees, that's 123 degrees in bald eagles. Toasty.

Just a funny meme I've seen on videos before, it perfectly applies to the weather situation, I forgot about the finger snap at the end though

My phone has been going off with Winter Storm Watch alerts since yesterday...for South Carolina! Apparently 2" of snow forecast down there for Saturday is considered a winter storm, and they will probably be declaring a state of emergency as well before long.

The long-range models well north of the Mason-Dixon line here are calling for 6-12" with a rough-to-forecast meandering rain/snow line for Sunday evening into Monday. Still no Winter Storm Watch (6+ inches forecasted) or Winter Weather Advisory (less than 6" forecasted) here as of 11:30 AM.....

Heading home Sunday evening to Toronto with snow and -10ish C weather.
Nothing but sun and 85-90f in Costa Rica for 2 solid weeks.

Already plotting how we can escape the concentration camp, but that's another thread.

The forecast for middle TN this weekend. Funny thing is that it basically describes what the news stations are saying. :

We might get the first blanket snow of the season. They're only forecasting an inch or so. That means I probably should have gone out and bought a snowblower today.

Told my wife i knew the forecast and she should expect six inches tomorrow morning. She uh... caught my drift.

Then she said wait, like 3.5 inches maybe 4?

Sitting here licking my wounds currently.

Ya that's hot. When it hit's 115, time to go home. I don't remember what year it was, but it hit 122 in Phoenix and it was too hot to fly planes out of Sky Harbor. Air was too thin. It's a dry heat, but at that point, yuck. Only so much a pool and AC can do...

I've actually seen 126 on my car thermometer while driving on the highway before. I think that was June of 2018. Not the official temp, but totally disgusting.

To be fair it's cold. Like a frightened turtle.

As for 122f, yeah that's the north west of australia, a town nearby went 160 days, in a row, over 100F (place is called Marble Bar).
