Odds and Sods - Watches

A few older watches from my collection, usually photographed with fountain pens, another hobby.

Longines + prototype Classic Pens ZJ2

Old collectible LeCoultres with Watermans

Modern Omega Speedmaster with Waterman

18K Chronographe Suise with a Waterman by the French jewellers Boucheron

Rather gaudy 'nugget' Longines

Vulcain skeleton watch

Great period early 1950s Omega bumper movement with matching style period band

LeCoultre Futurematic (early 1950s) with no external winding or setting stem

Thanks for sharing, love the pics!

But you must post a pic of the pinky ring that goes with that 'nugget' Longines!

Wayne Newton or Liberace?

That really is a sweet collection of fountain pens!

Wow! Do you carry/use these regularly or simply collect?

The pens, or the watches?

I switch pens regularly, although I do have favourites.

I typically wear a favourite Omega, but do mix it up a bit. The classic watches I hve collected are generally a lot smaller than today's watches and not a good match to a large wrist, so I have maybe 8 or 10 more modern ones that I do wear. I have watches back to the beginning of the 1800s.

And cars back to the early 1950s, but I use the modern stuff more often.

Sorry, should have specified! I was specifically asking about the pens... Both collections are outstanding!

Have a couple of friends from Vancouver though I've been there myself. The farthest west I've made it is Calgary...

I will carry and use any of my fountain pens except the few that are in delicate condition or of dubious continence - there were some oddball filling systems that I have as examples, but due to age the seals can't be relied upon, so carrying them would have risk to clothing!

I tend to prefer a quite fine nib, so most of my carry pens are in that category.

I feel like I should be sipping a fine cognac and smoking a cuban cigar looking at these pics. Nice :-)

Sorry for digging this old post. But I have to... I also have a very old fountain pen from my father but it is dead now. Do you've any idea to fix this? I really need to fix this. The problem is I cant recharge the ink..

That is a Parker 25, made from 1975-1994.

See https://parkerpens.net/parker25.html

The silver part above the plastic nib section should unscrew from the rest of the pen and there should be a filler inside.

I had a couple of fountain pens, I recognize how quickly that habit can get out of control.

That applies to cars as well. I think my peak was about 13 of them (down to 6 and holding now).
