Like I said in another thread it just made more sense to focus on the daily driver first then get the fun car later! It's bittersweet but this P100D is really fun to drive so not all that bad. Congrats to all of you getting your M cars! |

Good news on the luxury tax front - it's not happening for Jan 1st 2022 but bad news is that it will be sometime early 2022. My car has had a setback since the dealership Production Manager found out my build is still actually stuck in Germany waiting for chips. February/March delivery and likely when the luxury tax will take effect. Ugh. The new I4 m50s will be rolling into the dealers around the same time so maybe I should just get one of those lol. Kidding.

I submitted an order last week to my local dealer and was given an allocation today.
I have a production number and a build week of 26 which seems pretty high for a December allocation. Wondering if my individual options are holding it back since I've seem others with December allocations get February build weeks. Car is an IOMG M3 (manual), Tartufo full Merino, black open pore wood trim, 826M black wheels, black calipers and premium package. |

Yup, this is what the dealer told me, says its due to my individual options but I still find it hard to believe. Either way I have a production number so I know I'm good for a car.
I'm wondering if they misread 6 as 26 for some reason or if week 26 is just very preliminary and will change drastically. |

Hey guys, hope everyone is having a great holiday.
I just placed an order for a g80 x drive a few weeks ago. The dealer didnt give me any info other than (June delivery estimate) . Is there something I can ask for or have i simply been put on a list? I also traded in my f80 m3 which i am giving to the dealership now to take advantage of the high values. Is there anything i can ask the Dealer to give me to confirm my order? (i have put my deposit already) Cheers! |

Once the order is in you’re basically on a list waiting for the dealer to receive an allocation to produce the car. As I understand it, once you have been given an allocation you should receive a production number and the car’s status in the system should show as 111 or 112. For reference, it took mine about 2 months to go in to status 111 from the time I placed the order and gave a deposit.
The risk with trading in early is that you just can’t know when they’re going to get that allocation. |

Finally picked up my G80 today after almost 16 months placing my deposit. The car is a blast to drive and see you tomorrow for those who are coming to the meet

What is the approx wait time now for awd f80?
Which options should I avoid to limit delays? Which dealers are likely to have allocations? For the Ontario luxury tax, car needs to be less than $100k pre tax? |

Individual paint, big carbon fiber pieces, anything with a semi-conductor (that's almost everything that'd be considered an option). Big dealerships with a history of moving M products are most likely to get allocations (and most likely to have them spoken for… have a deposit ready). Provincial tax rates vary a lot by vehicle costs, Google is your friend.
