I ordered 15, 13 and 10 spacers. I just found out I have Michelin tires and I also ordered AST springs. Can't wait to see the outcome. I understand if you lower car with Michelin tires and 12 spacers, you will get a slight rub.

Agree, seems like the G80 sits a little lower stock than the G82 or it might be the angle.

I know turner sells 7.5mm spacers for the F8x, need to check if they have updated ones.

For a subtle look at stock height, 10/7.5 or 7.5/5 might be a good setup.

If you find 7.5/8mm ones that have the lip (hubcentric) pls post it here. I've looked and havent been able to find.

Forgive my noobness as I've never really messed with wheels but am loving what I'm seeing the photos - what are the benefits of wheel spacers other than the apparent stance upgrade? Are there any notable cons?

Per the Google machine: “By widening the wheel offset (and pushing the wheels further away from the chassis), the wheel spacers reduce body roll. This helps improve your tires' lateral grip. The tires are more evenly loaded, which leads to better handling of the car and faster acceleration coming out of a corner.” Also, spacers arguably improve the aesthetics to help the tires align more flush with the fenders.

The cons are noted quite extensively in this thread. The most obvious con is that your tires can rub against the fender lining and/or wheel well which is not only audible from the cabin, but can cause unnecessary and unsafe tire degradation. You can resolve these issues by reshaping (using heat) or cutting into the fender lining, but this is not recommended. Aside from that, if not installed properly with a lubricant, the spacers might adhere to the hub resulting in a more difficult and delicate disassembly. All of these scenarios are easily avoidable if you do your homework and stay within the recommended spacer sizes identified herein.

I received the Pirellis from factory but will eventually switch to the Michelins. I have done a ton of research on this topic and listed my preferred setup below for convenience. Both setups should result in no rubbing issues or the need for cutting/heating the fender linings.

Pirellis (with KW HAS)
10mm front
12mm rear

Michelins (with KW HAS)
15mm front
13mm rear

Sorry for duplicating my question from another thread. My upcoming Marina Bay Blue M3 Xdrive will be my daily driver including wet and snowy roads, it will never be tracked though. I don‘t plan to lower it but would love to add some conservative spacers to the Front axle only while maintaining steering feel and driving dynamics close to oem. Has anyone tried front only 5mm spacers with stock height on the M3? Future Classic seem to have a quality product. (I‘ve used H&R spacers for years with no issues on many sport cars).

FC is a quality product and 5mm is well conservative enough to have no issues to factory setup. I am running 15mm up front and 10mm in rear with KW HAS and PS4s without any issues at all. I tried many spacer configurations on both stock and lowered ride heights as well as the P0s and PS4s until I landed on my current setup. You will be fine with 5mm upfront and will not notice any difference in ride quality with spacers alone. Happy modding!

Thanks! I’m wondering what is the length of the Front hub lip on the M3? I hope with the 5mm spacers there is still enough hub lip to center the front wheels correctly. Anyone measured his hub lips?

I am curious. Did you end up going no spacer in back? Are you still happy with 10mm in front? Any vibrations or change to steering feel? Do you notice more road debris on the paint due to the 10mm spacers in front?
Which brand of spacers are you using? Thanks!

Just installed Future Classic Spacers on Michelin. F15/R12 and zero rubbing. Thanks for all the advice here, it is my first experience with spacers.

I have tried them and there are NO issues... the only problem was my shop had a set of used ones so I need new ones.

No rubbing at all.

Did you have to cut into or mold the front fender linings?

No because I have the PS4's; you most certainly will with the Pirellis.

Ok, I have a couple DIY spacer install questions. My M4 arrived last Fri, but bc of snow I couldn't pick up until tomorrow. My CA txt me pics however, and I hit the tire lottery with PS4, so I'll be going with FC 15f/12r.

Now I swap out my summer/winters seasonally myself on all my cars, so I'm somewhat knowledgeable enough to think I can install these spacers myself. I just have few quick questions from watching various IND videos.

-I've noticed some of IND videos show applying anti-seize to the hub screws and some videos that don't apply the anti-seize, so yea or nay? I don't plan on removing the spacers frequently as I do with my seasonally wheel changes.

-Watching the videos, obviously you would apply anti-seize to the original hub before installing the spacer, but why isn't anti-seize then applied to the spacer hub before mounting the tire as one would do without a spacer? Am I missing something here?

-And do you guys just use hand pressure to mount flush the spacer to the hub, or I have seen others use a rubber mallet to knock flush?

Thanks

I used anti-seize on the hub screws. Only used hand pressure as the fit was perfect. Love the look after fitting these.

well having had 963Ms + michelin all seasons on until today, i put my 826M + pzeros (what came with the car) and with 12mm future classic spacers on all wheels, 100% rubbing on the front when turning the wheels 100%, like backing out of a parking space, etc. No rubbing with the all seasons setup. About to swap the all seasons for cup2s for track season on the 963Ms, hopefully they don't rub.
