I like the Remote 3-D view.
On my second day of ownership, I had one of the dealership CA's set it up. It took him about two minutes. So far it's worked each time I've tried it. So, 3 for 3.

After mine not working for the first week or so, it started working, finally, and now it works just about every time.

Get in the car, navigate to apps installed, and hit the options button on the lower console, behind the iDrive wheel. A screen will pop up with a few options. That option that should be selected already. Update apps and services.

Click the iDrive wheel to select it. The update takes a few seconds. Then press and hold the radio volume hardware button below the infotainment screen. I held mine in for like 2 minutes, until the car stereo resets twice. Then click it and turn it back on.

Log out of the app. In the app, click the little man in the bottom right corner, and then click the gear at the top right. Click on BMW ID then logout. Then log back in.

It's a lot of work. But I haven't been able to pull the screen down and have it refresh. It still tells me, now, the last time it's refreshed was like 3am.

this is a worldwide BMW problem, you have to contact your bmw customerservice, they create a "ticket" for you so bmw has an official problem from a customer that they have to solve

My BMW stopped updating as well. Tried everything here and it wont fix it.

This app blows. My car updated 1 min ago after I got out of it and apparently the app says it's left window is open (it's not) and in the app it's located 20km east of where it actually is (right in front of me).

X5 here. My BMW app has not shown an updated time & date since 12/4, despite hitting lock on the remote and doing pull-down refreshes in the app.

It [i]did[/] do the remote horn thing just now, but the same 2 day old date & time.

First time this has been an issue as far as I can remember. I got a new phone 3 weeks ago, but it's been working fine until (probably) yesterday, when I clicked lock on the fob I keep hanging on my bedroom patio door (in direct sight of the vehicle).

In order to fix my issue above I had to delete my profile and reset the entire system and then load it back in and do the QR code thing in the app all over again. So far so good but completely embarrassing for a luxury brand and the price of this car.

I'll give that a try after trying a simple iDrive reset. If I have to go that far, I'll add it to the list of embarrassing things "for a luxury brand and the price of this car".

ETA: The problem cleared (for now) after starting the vehicle and resetting the iDrive system.
