I lowered my front all the way down with the KW HAS and now I am having an oil leak with my front right suspension. So the reality taught us don't max out with the KW HAS lol, I think on KW's official website it says for the G80 the front can be lowered between 5-25mm. When I maxed out the front it's lowered more than 25mm for sure, so I guess don't lower the front more than 25mm even if there are some threads left with the KW HAS.

Unfortunately I can’t go through warranty with this because I think mine is one of the first to have the suspension oil leak problem so the dealer will have to send my parts back to Germany for BMW to examine what causes the problem. If they find out the shock has been removed before and most likely they will, the dealer will be blamed by BMW headquarter so rip me haha. At least now I know the OEM front shock price is 1800 AUD each😂. I also just ordered a set of KW V4 which should arrive around March, hopefully no more leaking with the coilover😂.

Thats interesting--- my W212 E63 wagon had a shock leak and it was the first one back in 2012 and they just replaced it. I think your dealer should not have to send a shock back but I dont know what their intent is.

Im glad you have a remedy.

Man, $1,300 for one shock? Waow. I've been thinking about getting KWs, but I don't plan on lowering the car, super low. I'm more looking for the height that the standard springs offer. I may just get AST static springs.

Well, now I'm nervous because I have KW HAS being installed in my G82 today. I'm going for the front lower than the rear look.

My question is, how many have had these installed and how many have had issues? I wonder if this is a one off.

Installed a handful here already and not had any issues, as well as tons on E9x/F8X platforms with others on the waiting list to get their G8xs delivered.

I literally looked at the map, a few hours ago, when I posted my last message to see how far away you guys were from me. 7 hours 11 minutes drive time. I live north of Sacramento. When I find a shop that's done a few and isn't going to charge me $1,000 to install them, I'll be ready.

Hows the ride with MSS vs KW? Im worried KW's will be too low for me and want to me sure the ride is similar to OEM. BMW knocked it out of the park with this suspension.

Cant compare the 2 since i don't have KW on my car but customers feedback has been great so far on both.

Me too. I want to close the gap frankly for aesthetics more than anything. However I don't want to mess with the integrity or engineering BMW designed for the car. Is there a bit of a consensus of the drop for folks like us who aren't looking for a car as low as possible, just want to close the gap and give the car a bit better stance? ¾",1", or? (I totally get this is subjective and has to fit an individual owners taste)

Here is my G80 lowered on KW has kit. Stock shocks. It rides just like stock. Maybe a tad stiffer. I ran the same kit on my F80. Loved it. Car is currently set at the lowest setting in the front and the highest setting in the rear.
