Portland Sky (well, Hillsboro...)

We aren't very active yet in this Region, so posting a quick pic of a classic PNW sky over my Frog. Also posted this pic in the Frog-car thread in the pictures forum.

Happy Driving, fellow PNW-ites!

I don't know of any meets happening this weekend. I haven't managed to connect with very many local car folk over the years, unfortunately. Hoping to change that once we're safer.

Portland Cars and Coffee is every Saturday at 8AM in Sherwood. Here's the address:

21650 SW Langer Farm Parkway, Sherwood, OR

They will be there tomorrow. They're letting the first 150 cars in, so attendees generally show up before the show starts. Line starts on SW Century Blvd off of Tualatin Sherwood Road.

Went last week. People are courteous about the G8x front end, but I’m not entirely sure they like it even after having seen it in person. Oh well. Still very interesting to see people’s very first impressions and chat about it.

Did have one lady go absolutely nuts for it - she clearly loved it. Seems that people not as invested in BMW branding are more likely to be open to the design!

Really need to get down there soon...just to geo DO something. Getting out of the house that early on a Saturday always kills it, though.

There are BMWCCA drives once a month, too - I intend to attend my first one in May. It's on a Sunday a bit later (9AM); maybe that works better?

Not sure if you are always in the Hillsboro area, but if you are often I would love the chance to see your car in person. I still haven't seen one in the wild yet, and I am sitting in first place on the waitlist for an AWD allocation. I would be open to a place of your choosing in a public setting, since I appreciate how a random stranger on a forum asking to see your car might come across as sketchy! But also, feel free to decline and I will not be offended

Here’s this month’s BMWCCA Oregon drive. Starts just north of Salem; 6/13 Sunday @ 9AM.

Last one was pretty fun.

Micky - I do spend most of my time in the lands between Forest Grove and Beaverton. I live in Cornelius. I wouldn't have any problem with showing you the car, but it's hard to setup since I never really know when my work days will end. If you have an idea, let me know.

BSM - It was near Top Golf...the parking lot by the new Starbucks. It's one of my landing spots for post-Telework-day drives.

02 - Timing keeps getting me. That's my birthday and I'm not sure the SO would allow me to escape for a drive...I may float the idea, though.
