@The Dad any good place to do coating and PPF in sydney? i might go for a PPF for the front and coating as well. how long the coating will last? do we still wash the car as usual after the coating? TBH, i have never added the coating before.
My XDrive arrives in September as I believe most will in Australia. I have ceramic coating on my F80 M3. You will not need to wax the car again. Your vehicle will have a gloss wet look after each wash.

I've never had PPF but I will probably get it on the front end and the rest of the vehicle will be ceramic coating.

I'm probably going to use Sydney Premium Detailing in Castle Hill. They come highly recommended from friends although I have never used them myself. They are also located quite close to me so that's a bonus.

Have been looking around. Have got quotes ranging from 3.5k for the front to 6.5k for the whole car. I recon I'll do PPF on the whole car myself. Looking at my current car and the scratches I have been fixing. All the PPF guy's have a different angle. I want to get a Matt finish if possible.

Will also get a ceramic coat to top things off. Cleaning is easier and less hassle with the paint.

Should last ~10 years.

I would definetly get the whole car PPF if I meant to keep it but I am leasing for 4 years so I don't think its worth it for me.

Some of the Matt finishes look fantastic.

I'm purchasing outright 😎. Not a fan of leasing. Don't like owing money 💰. Here in Oz, there is no real benefit to leasing.

I have my own business so it works for me but I get why some don't like owing money. I plan on buying a 91 Porsche 964 for my 50th and I will be purchasing outright but I plan on keeping it for a long time.
