Yup, I have this same issue. They denied warranty, not because of my H&R Springs, but because of my rims being aftermarket. Told me to bring the car back with OEM rims for them to fix the issue. Not sure what the rims have to do with the tie rods or steering rack but ok.

Mine has been clicking for some time. Lowered on KW HAS and with MS spacers. But I took my car in for service a couple days ago. I removed my MS spacers and oddly enough, my clicking totally stopped!!! Torqued my wheels to 104lbs too. I hope it doesn't come back if I put my spacers back on. Guess well see once I get around to it.

I've learned to live with the clicking. I spoke with my shop and they recommended against torquing to 125, as they stated long-term it will warp the rotors which is much less desirable than some audible clicking with no other obvious downsides. Oh well.

My wife's g80 has an oem BMW M performance lowering coilovers and the dealer stated the coilovers are set too low. In addition previous dealer flagged the car for painted calipers, wheel studs and spacers so now even an oil change needs bmw NA approval.
I would dump the car, but she likes it too much plus she specced it herself and waited for the car to get here. Took it to two other independent shops and they both stated the noise is coming from the steering rack.

Flagging your car for painted calipers, wheel studs and spacers is complete garbage and shouldn't even be a thing. I'd go to a different dealer.

The stupid thing is regular BMW maintenance *already* needs BMW approval because it's warranty covered. They're just being idiots about scaring you into coming in for issues.

Yes it is BS. I am somewhere else already. 29 BMW's in 17 years, all modified and this was a first. The new SA showed me the note that requires an approval of a regional group ouf of Germany before they touch my car. Funny enough my f90 has a LOT more mods and the new dealer services it with no problem.
