Next opportunity to see the cars?

Anyone know if there will be more opportunities to see the G8X before the first batch of dealer orders are getting delivered?

Usually we have the car shows to lean on. I drove the Vancouver BC last time around to see the F8Xs before general orders opened up.

I’m hoping the cars shown already will continue to tour the dealers for viewing?

Heading to Monticello this weekend for BMW track days, perhaps they'll have at least one in the open to climb into, take pictues of, and such. I'll certainly follow up if so, but it seems the event isnt really published anywhere (I didn't know about it untili got an email with a comp invite last week), so im not too hopeful.

Yep. I'm wondering the same. Do we know when dealers will get them? Maybe some demo cars or something?

I saw the M4 at Monticello in early Sept. Maybe it's still there. They will not let you open the doors, take any pictures (you are required to check phones, watches, and they inspect your eye glasses). Car is next level. The carbon fiber seat (which will be optional), makes the interior look mean.

Yeah, I saw the M3 in NJ, it was the same deal, but now that they're officially released, those protocols should all go away.

From what I understand, first demo cars should hit dealers sometime in January but that's likely just 1 per dealer. Orders for customers will arrive in March.

The ordering guides aren't even out for USA yet so hold your horses.

Yes, it would sure be nice if BMWNA could let the preproduction cars from the events tour a few dealers each state for general viewing on the floor.

They are doing just that. Spoke to my dealership yesterday, and an M3 will be arriving for display Oct. 27. No further info at this time, but hey, it's a good start. People should be able to get a much more comprehensive view of the cars than last month's peep shows.

Update: The viewings will be by invitation only...contact your dealer. 45 minutes with access to the interior as well.

I'm not sure if the ordering guides are the same as pricing guides. But if so, it is out. It was released on October 1st. You can go to any BMW dealership and maybe they can print you out one. I just picked up a copy where it lists the US prices as well as options.

No luck seeing the cars at Monticello yesterday. It was quite a small event, there were only about 25 people during my timeslot spread across the 3 different activities, so it was mainly with the cars Monticello keeps there + 2 or 3 more that they drove up (not trailered) from NJ.

The event was also marketed a little more exciting than it was (BMW track days vs M Track days). Email stated auto cross, lead-follow laps, and street drives in the M2, M5, and M8. It ended up being autocross in the M240i, drag races in the M4, and lead-follow "street drives" on a portion of the track in a slew of vehicles, but that included an X7 and 745e (plus some M2s and a M850i or so), so we didn't even break 80 on the track. Oh well, it's a nice track and a nice drive there, so not too bad for free.
