Installed mine yesterday and it sounds amazing. Just wish it was louder so may add a AWE Axleback or the rest of the Active Autowerke system.

I haven't had any drone so far (which was my biggest concern when deleting the resonators) but I'm really happy with that. Not raspy until higher RPM's which I like but this can be removed if you get the resonated version I believe. Love the tone, it's pretty deep. As for loudness, it's not annoyingly loud with the valves open and in sport+. You can barely tell and difference from stock with the valves closed or with in comfort mode. Overall really happy with the purchase, sounds like it should have from the factory imo.

+1 an M car should sound like that stock

Do you have both versions in stock? Was the resonated a noticeable difference in rasp? I’ve heard the regular version and it’s pretty good. But less rasp would be nice.

I have both in my cart on your site lol been looking at it all day not sure which to get lol I’m leaning towards straight since I know I’ll be happy

Another happy customer with this set up.
I did the install over the weekend and no rain today so I drove the G82.
I did get the resonated version and I have the MPerformance muffler.
Driving it today my thoughts are it sounds just like it did when the exhaust sound was the fake ASD turned on.
I also put the SST valve controller on. Wide open it has too much loud cackle for me. I hate that sound. M mode is just the right amount of burble. And being able to force the valve closed for start up and highway cruising with the wife is more beneficial to me.

Happy owner now.

It's a midpipe only so yes you'd cut factory from stock muffler.

Get a shop to do it if you're not comfortable with it, but cutting the midpipe out is first-party BMW procedure for installing the M Perf Exhaust anyway, so no reason to think BMW would have any issues with it.
