To alleviate any worries - I'm not selling because of dodgy build quality or issues with the midpipe itself. The reason is simple - I fell in love with a specific sounding G80 M3 and I wanted to replicate it. I thought I could get a near identical sound with AA's single midpipe since I enjoy their build quality, customer support, etc, but I couldn't. As a result, the midpipe is for sale.

We have the same midpipe as well but no point in switching from AA single to Valvetronic single midpipe, they sound the same.

It's their prototype version that they produced only two copies of if I'm not mistaken. The specific one I have won't fit Competition models but does fit the base. As a result, my car sounds unlike any other G8X out there except for Soom's since he also has it.

I liked the E46 M3 sound I got from going with catless dp -> AA single -> Remus Race, but I was genuinely after this sound from the get go: https://youtu.be/y2LeqoOxT_o

I've heard catless dp -> AA single and it most certainly does not sound like that. It sounds pretty good, but it wasn't what I was after.

Big shout out to Mike at XPH. I had a Fabspeed order I placed back in September and it was delayed for almost 8 months! Mike was able to swap it out for an AA exhaust and mid-pipe and it was shipped within 2 weeks. AA sent out my brace a few days later. Ben at RG Sport will be installing it for me tomorrow.

It's straight up just the piping. Have a look at the attached images. The AA midpipe is on my couch and the Valvetronic is in the box. One of them is upside down but you still can see how they're different.. makes a big change in terms of sound as your can hear.

Sadly it won't. It does still sound similar but the exact tone you hear in the video - nope. Their production version has recently been revised with a new "jig" (whatever that means) and it definitely looks more similar to AA than the one I pictured.

I say sadly because I paid a hefty price for this pre-production version. But worth it because I got exactly what I wanted.
