Saw IOMG with AST's and a Portimao Blue stock suspension. The stock car looks tall, the rims look small. Lowering the car makes everything look sooo much better. I ordered the AST springs today.

Didn't see any AST spring orders come through for the weekend - but I have 2 sets still remaining in stock. Let me know if you want one.

Shout out to Tom @EAS, and pardon the dirty car- but super happy with the AST springs and spacer set up! This is 15mm Front / 12mm rear Macht schnell. Shop helped me and heated with gun and pushed the tricky front fin section which is know you rub.. happy to report ZERO rubbing all around. Ride quality is simply wonderful- would do again and wish I had done something sooner.

Looking good!

If you had gone with smaller front spacers, could you have avoided the fin problem?

Have you done an alignment yet? If so, any issues getting in spec?

How are the driving impressions thus far?

Update:

All G80 M3 springs sold out. Quicker than anticipated, even with all the reports of cars being held up at multiple ports. More arriving in ~2 weeks.

We also have the first set of M4 AST springs arriving for test-fitting on Monday.

1. Put the 12's up front as well for shit's n giggles -- Still minor rub on full lock. In knowing I was going to need to do a bit of heating/cutting down there anyway, I preferred the more flush set up vs running a super aggressive stance in the rear and being skinny up font. I call this currently"flush-ish..." I think this might be the ideal set up for someone who wants a loud, yet conservative set up without rear fender roll, or more intrusive means on front.

2. Anticipating a bit more settling up front. Will be addressing alignment with Texas track works in roughly 2 weeks as needed. http://texastrackworks.com/

3. I daily my G80. Put about 70 miles on her this AM in variable driving conditions. Bumpy open stretches of farm to market, freeway and city. I report a true OEM +. I remember someone describing them as "softer" than OEM. I think i'd subjectively use the term more "plush". The ride is far from jaring. It feels as though I am better planted and low profile.. and dare I say, even more so confident than I was before. Very, very happy with this set up. I was concerned with seeing news of the KW HAS starting to drop -- but I couldn't of envision myself being happier with a spring, let alone price point.

I remember not so fondly running a swift type r race spring on my N54 10 years ago... This is quite a different experience. I think my chiro sponsored Swift -- or maybe it was I doing the sponsoring $$$

Any updates on the ride? Any rubbing or clearance issues? On the AST website they still indicate that these springs are not for the X-Drive.

Ride is like OEM.

Height and clearance was no different than non-XDrive models, just a little extra labor working around the front axles, and were still able to bring the wheels out flush with spacers. Most likely we'll see AST greenlighting these for XDrive also.

Just the normal rubbing on the front fins when reverse turning, but it's been rubbing even on 10mm fronts so might as well go for the bigger spacer

Are these cars coming into stock spec once aligned, or do you need an alignment kit, of some kind to get into the green on an alignment rack?

I’d like to see this as well.

One car on YouTube was slightly out of spec on one wheel. The other one I heard about made it in spec, so…

We need some camber adjustment for sure in the front. That would be beneficial.

Long as you get the toe within spec you are fine.

You would need to be on the alignment rack to determine, which is a bit of a moot point by then. Most cars will need some sort of adjustment to get back into spec.
