gotta love the internet. https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com indeed shows that my car was loaded on this vessel on 2/29. Awesome.

How did you figure that out? Do they track VINs loaded on the vessel?

Scratch that. Shipping website says that car is on the boat; Genius may not be such a genius after all.
the vin directly after mine got on that boat, didn't see mine

you can search that BOL #AEA40601 and then see if your vin is on the list out of 950 units, on mac or pc u can do a spotlight search to make it faster.

Yes, apparently they do. Go to the website in my message, use the BOL ID from FaceBiter's message and you'll see 950 VIN numbers of cars on that vessel.

WW has a departure from Bremerhaven to NY tomorrow. For cars loaded on WW tomorrow, the ship will arrive in NY on 3/18.

For cars that don't make it tomorrow and are headed to NY, WW's next departure from Bremerhaven is 3/14.

Kline has a ship leaving Bremerhaven tomorrow as well that'll arrive in Baltimore on 3/20, Brunswick on 3/25, and Charleston on 3/27.

UPDATE - After searching the BOL provided for WW, a lot of cars were loaded - including mine! Thanks for the info!

WOW, they must REALLY be shipping a ton of volume with ships that big. If you look at the satellite images of those harbors the scale in crazy. I’m still impatient but hey, what can ya do

Glad you were able to find it! Now that that mystery is solved, you can just relax and anxiously enjoy the excruciatingly long 10 days that the journey will take before we can start stalking our cars again.

Port Hueneme, it’s crazy how many cars there are waiting at that port. I read somewhere that cars represent 85% of the cargo through that port.

I check the satellite position of the ship multiple times per day…it’s fun and torturous!

How did you get the BOL, looks like those 950 cars are all going to NY. Doesn’t say anything about cars loaded for a separate port

I know nothing about shipping. I suspect cars going to a different port will have a different BOL. The capacity of the AC is much greater than 950 & cars those with that BOL may be just the NY bound.

It stops in Canada first, NY then Brunswick GA. They would not sail with only 950 cars on board.

As far as I am aware, that BOL should be for all of the cars coming to the US. While I don’t know the exact code, this is how I came up with the BOL.

The first letter is for the continent - in this case ‘A’ for North America.
The next 5 characters are the first 5 characters of the voyage number. In the case, the voyage for the Asian Captain is EA406-ACA.
The final number is the country code (maybe?). 01=US. 02=CA.

Before you all think I’m a sleuth detective for figuring out this code, I managed to find this information on ix forum.

Happy hunting!
