Hi, after tracking first time my stock 23 m3cx with 4k miles next day Ive noticed turbo blow off valve sound. It happens when you shift next gear or release acc pedal while boost > 8psi. Does anyone noticed BOV sound on your car? Dealer checked it, they say they didnt find anything wrong or codes. Does s58 have BOV and where it could be located?

It does not. This isnt a supra from 1994. These cars have electronic wastegates.

Do you know where are they located? Maybe I can check them... Or does anyone know a good dealership around Chicago besides bill jacobs naperville or a good bmw shop?

I've been pretty happy with the service department at Patrick BMW in Schaumburg for the things I've taken there. But most of the work I don't do myself goes to Ben, the owner of 7th Gear Auto Repair (also Schaumburg). He's been fantastic.

Ummm.... So what? EWG isn't relevant. No diverter valves or blow off valves needed because when you abruptly let off throttle the throttle plate doesn't close all the way and the boost flows through the head with intake and exhaust valves open at the same time.

I just made that up I don't actually know what I'm talking about.

Mine swooshes like a 90's import with a turbo if I lift my throttle under load. I couldnt hear it much in stock form. But I heard much more of it with drop in filters. And now that I have intakes, its SUPER LOUD and I can do it on demand.

So yes they do swoosh.
