Seat belt twisted

Just noticed this. Gonna take it in for the dealer to look at but has anyone ever seen this before. It's like the whole seatbelt is twisted and now it doesn't lay flat.

Rarely go into the backseat but noticed when i was putting my kid in.

This should be easy to fix. Anyone with children who's used child seats knows how to handle this

You can do this yourself in 30 seconds

I have 3 and am very familiar with what you're referring to with car seats.

if your suggesting to flip the clip itself, that's not the problem. Them problem is the bottom goes in one way and the top goes in the other. Look at the stripe on the belt. It's on the left at the bottom and the right at the top.

Garage List
If you fold the seat down, can you access the bottom of the belt from there? Maybe it's an easy fix?

Haven’t done it myself, but according to this the rear bench is only held in by clips and can be popped off. Maybe try that if you need some room.

Have you tried pulling the belt out all the way from the reel?

yea, all the time. That's how i lock in the kids belt when they are in their seats.

To me, the top part is what's wrong. To match the other seats the stripe should be on the outside. The bottom has the stripe on the outside but the top has it on the inside.

The reel and guide on the top are really tight, or going to flip it or anything. Atleast as far as i can see

well i found and old picture and noticed the seatbelt was correct.

I was able to drop the back seats, pop off some of the plastic rivets and get into the compartment where the belt reel is. Saw it was twisted and was able to feed it through and untwist it.

No clue how that happened… but with kids you learn to stop asking that question.😀

Thanks all!
