How did they ship them? Were they in boxes or have some kind of protection on them?

Well, it seems like all the winter wheel options from Tire Rack for 19" & 20" are out (either not available or until 2022) and I don't want to spend $$$ for OEM wheel set as I am not sure how many winters I plan to keep this car (as I may move oversea in a year or so).
So I figure I would just go with a set of VREDESTEIN WINTRAC PRO just to get by this winter but they only come in 275/30/20 for the rear, would this fit the OEM wheel with no issue? There is an inch difference in width. |

FYI, I just purchased from Kevin @ EAS four 19x9.5" et 22 VMR V710 wheels (5x112) with TPMS and 275/35R19 Vred winter tires (all mounted and balanced) for $2600 shipped.
According to Kevin, VMR machines the center bore to spec., so no hub rings should be needed. I'll post pictures once they arrive. I went with the V710s because they were the cheapest option of the VMR wheels. He also said, currently, they only have the gunmetal finish available as a full set.

I would go to someone who actually knows alignment rather than a kid at BMW who is just following the rules in the handbook If your car is stock, you don't need new alignment from just putting on new wheels and tires. Usually you'd get the alignment done if you wore out a set of tires and the alignment would have been knocked out of line after 10k miles or whatever |

Huh? This is FUD. Wearing out tires does not impact alignment. Perhaps if you hit a curb or changed suspension components. But wearing out tires, and needing an alignment? Yeah, no.

Guys, I need an opinion. I've had blizzaks before and love them, but they don't make a 285/30 for the rear. They only make 295/35 and that won't fit I'm on KW I will likely rub. My question is, should I get the Continental DWS or the Pirelli winters for snow. I don't care about price. One set runs about 1,000$ the other 1,600$. My car is my daily, in winters here I've only had Blizzaks, but that's out.. are pirellis just as good? Or should I go with the Continentals. We don't have a ton of snow here or at least a ton that I have to drive in. But I don't wanna be slip sliding all over the place either.

My point was after a certain period, your alignment will need to be redone. It does not need to be done on a brand new car when swapping on winter wheels |

Getting alignment done when getting new tires after a few years/10k miles is standard procedure on a Kia never mind an M3 |

That's your opinion, I'm on my 13th BMW and never had this type of need for alignments.

Possibly the most basic thing you can do in a performance car. I used to do mine before every track day and visit to the Nurburgring but what do I know |

The 58mm stick-ons (they come w/ 2 sided tape pre-attached) fit. They are a *tiny* bit smaller than the MSW logos, but not noticeable.
