One change I noticed is that there is an option to "delete" black shadow line trim now rather than add it.

The word "allocation" was never mentioned, just that starting today they would be able to add 2023s to the order bank.

What's funny is I thought I was very meticulous adding all the code numbers of the options I wanted from the MY2023 pricing guide to the build I sent them, but a few minutes later my salesperson texted back "What color brake calipers do you want?" I replied "Sorry, red please!"

Maybe today is the day a lot of people move up on the list, even with no allocation drops. Once the uninformed hear of the significant increase they may drop?

They should have been able to since last week. Should double check that nobody is ahead of you.

How can one do that?

All I know is I was told I was first on their waiting list for a MY2023 M3 allocation back in March when I placed my deposit, as well as a few weeks ago when I checked in.

Of course all I have right now is their word, but I look at todays development as a positive....

You might want to confirm that with your CA. Also there were reports that dealers were able to place MY23 to their order banks last week.

So I would be back with just their word again.

I understand, and I appreciate the tip....but again, I still feel this is a positive development over the nothing I've gotten from them since March. Why bother texting me about the specifics of my build if they weren't going to do anything with it?

What I can believe though is they just wanted to make sure I didn't have a crazy build or something.

Yeah, most dealers would be upfront with customers about their waitlist position. I think the other member might have recommended this to make sure nothing has changed from March when you were the first person on their waitlist.

Hopefully they get an allocation this week ans you make some progress.

My dealer was able to submit an order on June 1 for model: 23TQ M3 competition xDrive. It has order status 047- Spec, released no quota.

They haven't received any 2023 allocations yet and I'm #2 on their waitlist. Will be interesting to see how this progresses.

My guess is the dealer is trying to finalize your order in anticipation of an allocation this week.

Any specific reason why you are sticking with that one dealer instead of multiple waitlists.

I have a feeling dealers should get more allocations this month with the switchover to a new model year. Based on purely nothing but wishful thinking.
