Woke up this morning to another “defect code” on the BMW Tool website: defect code 0084880100. It doesn’t have a description like my RAM defect code does (which is still open). Anyone know what this is?

Finally picked it up today and I couldn't be more happy with the car. I had never seen frozen white in person and it does not disappoint.

Alright guys. Tell me if I’m crazy. Going on day 18 of my car sitting at the port. I live 45 minutes away from the VPC where my car is. Am I crazy to drive there and see what the hell is going on over there?

Did you ever find out what that other stop sale was that you mentioned a few days ago? I would be losing my mind with the car being so close to you but not being able to get it after us all waiting this long. I feel for you!

I found out my second stop sale was just a software upgrade. I also found out that the new eta for my car is mid January. They said the RAM shortage will not be replenished until the second week of January.

sucks on the delays but at least you have an estimated timeframe now.

Hour and a half drive to tell you to go home, not worth it. At least it's in the states, my G82 is on day 45 of QC, and cars that were built later have already been delivered.

She certainly is .. and that front end has really grown on me -- certainly more so than hypercritical reviewers at launch. The slope of the kidney grilles in profile resembles those of the E9 (the beloved big coupe from the 1960s).

Now if I can find more love for the shape of the G82 taillights ..
