Best rpm for roll races?
I have a G87 M2 and I posted this on the g87 forum to come back to crickets so I’ve decided to ask you guys in the G80/G82 forums. What is the optimal rpm to start at during a roll race for the s58? I’ve done some experimenting with 4k and 5k rpms at ~60 miles and it feels like 5k is faster because you’re shifting earlier but I don’t really have any conclusive data to back it up. All I know is that these cars are scarily fast lol.
What rpms do you guys usually start at and what have you found works/doesn’t work?

Thus far, I've found 4.5-5K rpm the sweet spot with the torque and power curve. In D3, the car tends to pick 4th gear around 60mph on WOT kick downs to meet the above rpm range too.
